1win vs 22Bet (2026): Which Casino Is Better for African Players?
1win and 22Bet are two of the most heavily promoted online casinos in Africa. 1win pushes a 500% welcome package, a library of more than 14,000 games and its own crash game, Lucky Jet. 22Bet offers a smaller casino but a big sportsbook, a fair sports bonus, and local businesses in Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana and Kenya. On paper, 1win looks bigger. In practice, the question that decides 1win vs 22Bet for most African players is simpler: which one is legally allowed to run a casino where you live?
This comparison looks at licences country by country, casino games, bonuses and their real cost, payments and withdrawal evidence, apps, support and each brand’s track record. Every fact was checked in October and November 2026, and where sources disagree, we show each version.
Disclosure: we link to 22Bet only in Nigeria and Uganda, where its casino licences are on the regulators’ registers. We don’t link to 1win anywhere, because we found no African casino licence for it, and in Lagos it’s on the regulator’s illegal list. Other links go to locally licensed alternatives. This comparison isn’t legal advice.
📌 1win vs 22Bet: the quick answer
- Licensing: 22Bet wins clearly. It holds casino licences in Lagos (Nigeria) and Uganda; 1win is on Lagos’s April 2026 illegal list and we found no African casino licence for it.
- Game library: 1win wins on size, with 14,000+ games according to Afrik-Foot, against 1,000+ to 3,000+ at 22Bet.
- Bonuses: 1win’s headline is bigger (500% across four deposits), but 30x or 40x wagering and loss-based release make it much harder to use. 22Bet’s casino bonus also has heavy wagering; its sports bonus (5x) is the fairest offer of the two.
- Withdrawals: 22Bet has 2026 test evidence of payouts in 7 to 11 minutes; 1win’s payouts in Nigeria are bank-only, according to Soccernet.
- Track record: both have issues. 1win had a data breach affecting about 96 to 100 million users in 2024; 22Bet was on LCB’s warning list for slow payments in 2020.
- Our verdict: 22Bet in Nigeria and Uganda. In Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, neither is a licensed casino choice.

🛡️ 1win vs 22Bet: casino licences country by country
A casino licence matters more than any bonus. It decides whether you can complain to a regulator, whether local taxes are handled, and whether your account is protected by local rules. Here’s what we found.
| Country | 22Bet | 1win | Winner |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🇳🇬 Nigeria (Lagos) | ✅ Arcadia Hospitality Ltd, online sports betting and casino, 23 May 2026 – 22 May 2027 | ❌ 1win.ng (Bid Entertainment) on the LSLGA’s April 2026 illegal list; not on the register | 22Bet |
| 🇳🇬 Nigeria (FCT) | Not on the FCT list in our research | ❌ Not on the FCT list | Neither |
| 🇺🇬 Uganda | ✅ NLGRB BM-26-0221 (betting) and CS-26-0222 (casino) | ❌ No licence found | 22Bet |
| 🇬🇭 Ghana | ⚠️ GCG 2026: sports betting only, no online casino | ❌ Not on the GCG 2026 list | Neither for casino |
| 🇰🇪 Kenya | ⚠️ Nuntis Holdings, BK-0001293 / PG-0001294 (2025/26); 2026 register unpublished | ❌ “1 win kenya” on the April 2025 paybill suspension list | Neither confirmed for 2026 |

What about 1win’s licence claims?
1win’s promotional pages in Nigeria cite an Oyo State casino licence and a “National Sports Betting Permit”, but the numbers differ between pages (for example, OYSGB/CASB/2592001 on one, OYSGB/CASB/241008 on another), and we couldn’t verify any of them. 1win.ng has cited a Curaçao licence, 8048/JAZ2018-040, according to TechTrends KE. Neither changes the fact that Lagos, Nigeria’s main regulator, lists 1win.ng as illegal. A Curaçao licence doesn’t make a casino legal in an African country that licenses gambling locally.
22Bet’s licence caveats
22Bet’s licences are real but uneven. In Ghana, it’s licensed for sports betting only, so its casino there isn’t covered. In Kenya, its public gaming licence was on the 2025/26 register, which expired on 24 September 2026, and the new regulator hadn’t published a 2026 register by mid-October. And its licences cover its local sites (22bet.ng, 22bet.ug), not every mirror domain you’ll see advertised.
📰 Track record: which brand has more red flags?
22Bet
- 2020: LCB placed 22Bet on its warning list for slow payments and weak support; one player was paid €10,000 only after complaining elsewhere.
- November 2025: the Curaçao Chronicle published allegations about the offshore group behind 22Bet (allegations, not findings).
- 2026: a 22Bet profile on Trustpilot shows as removed for going against Trustpilot’s guidelines.
- 2026 positives: on the Lagos and Ugandan registers; independent withdrawal tests paid in minutes.
1win
- 2023: Kazakhstan investigated 1win over payments accepted without user checks and minors being able to play; the site was blocked and four suspected organisers were put on a wanted list, per Wikipedia.
- November 2024: a data breach exposed details of about 96 to 100 million users, including emails, phone numbers, dates of birth and hashed passwords.
- Russia: blocked as an unlicensed bookmaker, reportedly working through mirror domains.
- April 2026: 1win.ng named on Lagos’s illegal operators list.
Both brands have a history, but they’re different kinds of problem. 22Bet’s are mostly about payout disputes years ago and opaque group ownership; it now has local licences that give African players a complaint route. 1win’s include a data breach affecting tens of millions of accounts, criminal investigations in Kazakhstan, and active regulatory action in Lagos. For an African player choosing a casino in 2026, that difference matters.
🔍 1win up close
1win was founded in 2016 and is registered in Willemstad, Curaçao, according to Wikipedia, which describes it as a crypto-casino with a sports betting arm. Beyond gambling, it runs 1win Esports, with Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 teams and its own tournaments, and 1win Charity, which ran free health-screening camps in Nigeria in 2024 and 2025 and supported cancer patients at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra. Those community projects build familiarity, but they don’t amount to a gambling licence in either country.
| 1win feature | What our sources say |
|---|---|
| Welcome package (Nigeria) | 100%, 120%, 130% and 150% on four deposits, up to ₦750,000 each and ₦3,000,000 in total, with 70, 100, 150 and 180 free spins (Soccernet) |
| Ongoing promotions | Multiple Bet Bonus of 7% to 15%, casino cashback of 1% to 30%, and Lucky Drive (Afrik-Foot NG) |
| App reward | 200 coins for installing; 1,200 coins needed to convert (Soccernet) |
| Payments | Bank withdrawals in Nigeria; Orange Money and MTN MoMo in francophone Africa; 15 cryptocurrencies |
| Afrik-Foot’s French test | A 1,500 XOF Orange Money deposit credited only 100% plus 70 free spins; the default 1,000 XOF deposit didn’t activate the bonus |
The promotional machinery is impressive, and the game library is genuinely huge. The problem is underneath: without a local licence, none of it comes with a regulator you can turn to if something goes wrong.
🔍 22Bet up close
22Bet was founded in 2017. Its African businesses run under different local companies: Arcadia Hospitality Ltd in Nigeria and Uganda, Lantini Ltd in Ghana (per ChampsBase) and Nuntis Holdings Ltd in Kenya. Paybill KE describes 22Bet as an international sister brand of 1xBet within the Bonpartage group, operating independently in Kenya under separate licences.
| 22Bet feature | What our sources say |
|---|---|
| Sportsbook | 1,000+ events a day, 30+ markets per football match, live betting, cash out, Bet Builder, esports and virtuals |
| Odds | 5.38% margin in ChampsBase’s Kenyan comparison, fourth of five |
| Sports bonus | 100% match, 5x on accumulators of 3+ selections at 1.40+, within 7 days (Nigeria from ₦1,700; Kenya up to KES 19,000) |
| Casino extras | Weekly slot cashback in Nigeria (Soccernet) |
| Kenyan extras | 100% Friday reload with 3x wagering in 24 hours; a losing-streak reward after 20 losing bets in 30 days (22Bet’s Kenyan guide) |
| Tax transparency | Deductions shown in the cashier before you confirm (ChampsBase, Kenya) |
22Bet is stronger as a sportsbook than as a casino. If you mostly bet on football and play the occasional crash game or slot, it covers you, legally, in Lagos and Uganda.
🛩️ Lucky Jet vs Aviator
1win’s Lucky Jet and Spribe’s Aviator are the two crash games most often compared. They work the same way: a multiplier climbs until it crashes, and you win only if you cash out before then.
| Feature | Lucky Jet | Aviator |
|---|---|---|
| Developer | 1Win Games | Spribe (launched January 2019) |
| RTP | 97% (SlotCatalog) | About 97%, per review sites |
| Maximum multiplier | 5,072x (SlotCatalog) | No official maximum |
| Bets per round | Two, with auto bet and auto cash-out | — |
| Provably fair | Yes | Yes (commit-reveal) |
| At licensed casinos in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana | Not found in our research | Yes, at several licensed operators |
Sources: SlotCatalog, Malta Football (July 2026), AffSupreme Lucky Jet research.
With the same RTP, neither game gives you better odds. The real difference is availability: Aviator is offered by licensed casinos, while Lucky Jet is mainly promoted through 1win.
🎰 Casino games: 1win vs 22Bet
On sheer size, 1win wins easily. Afrik-Foot counts more than 14,000 games at 1win. At 22Bet, Pulse Sports counts more than 1,000 and other reviewers more than 3,000, from 80+ providers according to Soccernet. Both offer slots, live dealer tables, crash games and table games.
| Feature | 22Bet | 1win |
|---|---|---|
| Game count | 1,000+ (Pulse Sports) to 3,000+ | 14,000+ (Afrik-Foot) |
| Providers | 80+ (Soccernet); NetEnt unavailable in Ghana and Uganda | Not counted in our sources |
| In-house crash game | — | Lucky Jet by 1Win Games: 97% RTP, max 5,072x (SlotCatalog) |
| RTPs published | No RTPs or testing lab named (ChampsBase) | Not stated in our sources (Lucky Jet: 97%) |
| Licensed casino in Lagos | ✅ | ❌ |
A bigger library doesn’t make a casino better if you can’t play it legally or safely. Most players use a few dozen games, and 22Bet’s 1,000+ titles include the main crash games and popular slot studios. If you want Lucky Jet specifically, note that our earlier research found it at no casino licensed in Nigeria, Kenya or Ghana.
Crash games: the maths is the same everywhere
Both casinos push crash games such as Aviator, and 1win promotes its own Lucky Jet, which SlotCatalog lists at a 97% RTP. With a 97% RTP, the chance of reaching a cash-out target is about 0.97 divided by the target:
| Cash-out target | Rough chance of reaching it |
|---|---|
| 1.50x | About 65% |
| 2.00x | About 48.5% |
| 10.00x | About 9.7% |
| 100.00x | About 1% |
Illustration based on a 97% RTP (chance ≈ 0.97 ÷ target).
No “predictor” or Telegram signal can beat these odds, at 1win, 22Bet or anywhere else. Signal sellers are scammers.
🎁 Casino bonuses compared
Casino bonuses are where the two brands look most different, and where headline numbers mislead the most.
| Bonus | 22Bet | 1win |
|---|---|---|
| Nigeria casino welcome | ₦500,000 or ₦720,000 + 60 free spins (sources differ) | Up to 500% over 4 deposits, ₦3,000,000 in total (₦750,000 per deposit), plus 70 to 180 free spins per deposit |
| Kenya casino welcome | KES 35,000 + 45 free spins (50x) or KES 60,000 + 60 free spins (35x) | Not reviewed (no Kenyan licence) |
| Wagering | 35x to 50x, depending on source | 30x (Soccernet) or 40x within 7 days (Afrik-Foot) |
| How it’s released | Standard wagering | As a share (1–20%) of the previous day’s casino losses, per Soccernet |
| Other limits | KES 750 maximum bet while wagering (Kenya, ChampsBase) | Bonus winnings capped at 1x the bonus (Soccernet) or 10x, up to ₦30m (Afrik-Foot) |
| Sports welcome | 100%, 5x on accumulators at 1.40+ | No separate sports welcome (Afrik-Foot FR) |
What these bonuses really cost
Take a ₦10,000 casino bonus. At 30x wagering, you’d have to bet ₦300,000 on eligible slots; at 40x, ₦400,000. If those slots have a 4% house edge, the expected cost is about ₦12,000 to ₦16,000, more than the bonus itself. 22Bet’s casino bonuses, at 35x to 50x, have the same problem.
1win’s structure adds a twist: according to Soccernet, the bonus is released as a percentage of the previous day’s losses, so you only unlock it by losing real money first. And Afrik-Foot’s French tester found that a 1,500 XOF deposit by Orange Money credited only 100% plus 70 free spins, not the advertised 500%, because each of the four deposits has its own percentage.
The fairest offer across both brands is 22Bet’s sports bonus: a 100% match with 5x wagering on accumulators at odds of 1.40 or more. On a three-leg accumulator with a 5% margin per leg, the expected cost of clearing it is roughly 70% of the bonus, so it’s worth taking if you’d bet that much anyway.
💳 Payments and withdrawals
| Feature | 22Bet | 1win |
|---|---|---|
| Nigeria deposits | Paystack, Flutterwave, bank transfer, USSD, OPay, PalmPay; from ₦50 to ₦100 (Soccernet) | Bank and local methods; ₦1,000 minimum for the bonus (Soccernet) |
| Nigeria withdrawals | Bank from ₦550, up to 24 hours; ~8 min in Soccernet’s test | Bank only, about 2 hours (Soccernet); ₦1,500 to ₦10m (Afrik-Foot) |
| Kenya | M-Pesa and Airtel; payouts in 7 and 11 minutes in ChampsBase’s test | Paybill suspended in April 2025 |
| Francophone Africa | — | Orange Money and MTN MoMo (Afrik-Foot FR) |
| Crypto | Disabled for Nigerians (Soccernet); excluded from welcome bonuses | 15 cryptocurrencies (Afrik-Foot FR) |
| Local taxes deducted | Yes, where licensed (5% Lagos, 15% Uganda, 5% Kenya) | Not as a licensed local operator |
22Bet has the stronger evidence: three published 2026 withdrawal tests in Kenya and Nigeria were paid in 7 to 11 minutes. One bettingexpert test in Nigeria was wrongly denied before going through after the tester cleared cookies and logged in again. For 1win, Soccernet reports bank-only withdrawals arriving in about two hours in Nigeria; we didn’t find a dated, hands-on 1win withdrawal test from an African tester with amounts and timings.
There’s also a structural difference. A licensed operator like 22Bet in Lagos or Uganda deducts local tax and answers to a local regulator. An unlicensed operator doesn’t, so if a 1win withdrawal is held, there’s no Nigerian, Kenyan or Ghanaian regulator to escalate to.
Withdrawal tips that apply to both
- Verify your identity before you win; KYC is the most common cause of delays.
- Withdraw to the same method you deposited with, in your own name.
- Finish or skip bonuses; unfinished wagering blocks withdrawals.
- Withdraw regularly instead of leaving a large balance.
- Keep screenshots of every request and its reference number.
⚖️ What a local casino licence actually protects
It’s easy to treat licensing as paperwork. In practice, it changes what happens to you when something goes wrong:
| Situation | Licensed (22Bet in Lagos or Uganda) | Unlicensed (1win in Africa) |
|---|---|---|
| Withdrawal held or refused | Escalate to the LSLGA or NLGRB | Only the operator’s own support |
| Self-exclusion | Lagos’s SafePlay and national schemes apply | Not connected to African schemes |
| Taxes | Deducted and remitted by the operator | Your responsibility to work out |
| Payment blocks | Banks and processors can work with the operator | Regulators can tell banks to stop facilitating it |
| App stores | Eligible for Google Play in licensed markets | APK only |
| Data protection | Subject to local rules and regulator oversight | Depends on the offshore operator |
🧮 A month of casino play: what it really costs
Suppose you spend ₦20,000 a week on slots with a 4% house edge, and your money turns over about three times before it’s gone or you stop. That’s about ₦240,000 of bets a month, with an expected loss of about ₦9,600, whichever casino you use. A bonus with 30x or 40x wagering adds more turnover on top, which adds to the expected loss rather than reducing it.
The casino you choose doesn’t change the maths of the games. It changes what happens around them: whether a regulator can help with a disputed withdrawal, whether your self-exclusion applies, and whether your personal data is protected. That’s why, in this comparison, licensing outweighs game count.
🪙 Crypto at 1win: what to know
1win’s 15 cryptocurrencies, per Afrik-Foot’s French review, are a draw for some players, and 22Bet has disabled crypto for Nigerians, according to Soccernet. But crypto adds risks of its own: transfers can’t be reversed, sending on the wrong network can lose your funds, and prices move while your balance sits in the casino. In Kenya, the Gambling Control Act 2025 bans crypto for gambling altogether, per iGaming Times. If you want a licensed casino that accepts crypto in Nigeria, Bet9ja takes USDT deposits under its Lagos licence.
📱 Apps
| Feature | 22Bet | 1win |
|---|---|---|
| Android | APK from the official local site (Nigeria, Uganda) | APK only; size given as 5.3 MB, 43.2 MB or about 150 MB, depending on source |
| iPhone | iOS app in Nigeria and Uganda | Web app (home-screen shortcut), per Soccernet and Afrik-Foot |
| Google Play | — | Not on Google Play; Google allows only licensed operators in Nigeria |
Google Play allows real-money gambling apps in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania only from licensed operators, and in Nigeria it recognises Lagos licences, according to BusinessDay. Neither brand’s casino app was confirmed on Google Play in our research. Download only from the official local site, never from links in WhatsApp or Telegram, and don’t grant SMS or contacts permissions.
💬 Support
| Channel | 22Bet | 1win |

| Phone | +234 90 7026 3332 (Nigeria), +254 706557811 (Kenya) | None found in our sources |

🔐 Data safety and responsible gambling
1win’s November 2024 data breach exposed email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, dates of birth and hashed passwords for about 96 to 100 million users, according to Wikipedia, and the data was later added to Have I Been Pwned. If you’ve ever had a 1win account, check your email on Have I Been Pwned and change any reused passwords.
On responsible gambling, licensed operators must offer limits and connect to local self-exclusion schemes, such as Lagos’s SafePlay. 22Bet’s Kenyan site offers daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits with a 24 to 72 hour cooling-off before increases, per Paybill KE. An unlicensed site isn’t connected to any African self-exclusion scheme, so self-excluding locally won’t stop you playing there.
🥊 Round by round
| Round | Winner | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Local licences | 22Bet | Casino licences in Lagos and Uganda; 1win on Lagos’s illegal list |
| Game library | 1win | 14,000+ games against 1,000+ to 3,000+ |
| Casino bonus value | Draw | Both have heavy wagering; 1win’s is released from losses |
| Sports bonus | 22Bet | 100% with 5x wagering; no separate 1win sports welcome |
| Withdrawal evidence | 22Bet | Dated tests paid in 7 to 11 minutes |
| Data safety | 22Bet | 1win’s 2024 breach affected about 96 to 100 million users |
| Crypto | 1win | 15 coins; crypto disabled for Nigerians at 22Bet |
| Track record | 22Bet | Older payout complaints vs breach, Kazakhstan case and Lagos action |
22Bet wins five rounds, 1win two, with one draw. 1win’s wins, game choice and crypto, are real advantages, but they don’t outweigh licensing and safety.
🧾 Taxes: what you’ll actually receive
| Country | Deduction at a licensed operator |
|---|---|
| 🇳🇬 Nigeria (Lagos) | 5% withholding tax on winnings |
| 🇺🇬 Uganda | 15% withholding on net winnings from 1 July 2026 |
| 🇰🇪 Kenya | 5% excise on deposits and 5% withholding on withdrawals |
| 🇬🇭 Ghana | No tax on winnings since 2 April 2025 |
An unlicensed casino may not deduct these taxes, which can make payouts look bigger. But you also lose the regulator, the self-exclusion link and the protection of local rules.
🔎 How to check a casino licence yourself
- Find the company name in the casino’s footer, not just the brand.
- Search your regulator’s register: the LSLGA list in Lagos, the NLGRB list in Uganda, the GCG list in Ghana (check for an online casino entry, not just sports), or the Gaming Board of Tanzania’s casino register.
- Check the dates: Lagos entries have start and end dates; Ghanaian and Ugandan licences expire on 31 December.
- Check the illegal lists: Lagos publishes a list of illegal operators, which includes 1win.ng.
- Ignore Curaçao or Anjouan numbers on their own: they don’t make a casino legal in your country.
🌍 1win vs 22Bet: the verdict in your country
🇳🇬 Nigeria: 22Bet
22Bet is licensed in Lagos for online sports betting and casino until 22 May 2027. 1win.ng is on Lagos’s illegal list. Neither is on the FCT’s list. For Nigerian casino players, 22Bet is the only legal choice of the two; Bet9ja is a long-established alternative with licences in both Lagos and the FCT.
🇺🇬 Uganda: 22Bet
22Bet holds an NLGRB casino licence (CS-26-0222) for 2026; we found no Ugandan licence for 1win. You must be 25 or over, and a 15% withholding tax on net winnings applies from 1 July 2026.
🇬🇭 Ghana: neither for casino
22Bet’s Ghanaian licence covers sports betting only, and 1win isn’t on the GCG list. If you want an online casino in Ghana, choose one with a GCG online casino licence, such as Betano (GCCA26T1311K) or Betway.
🇰🇪 Kenya: neither confirmed
22Bet’s Kenyan company held a public gaming licence on the 2025/26 register, but the GRA hadn’t published a 2026 register by mid-October 2026. 1win was on the April 2025 paybill suspension list. We aren’t linking to any Kenyan operator until the register is published; ask the GRA on 0800 723 770 before depositing.
🇹🇿 Tanzania: neither for casino
22Bet isn’t on the Gaming Board of Tanzania’s register. 1win appears on the sports betting register according to an affiliate site, but not on the casino register. Check the Gaming Board’s online casino register for licensed alternatives.
🇿🇦 South Africa: neither
Online casino games are illegal under section 11 of the National Gambling Act, and neither brand holds a provincial bookmaker licence in our research. South Africans can bet on sports and horse racing with licensed bookmakers such as Sportingbet or Hollywoodbets.
18+ (25+ in Uganda) | T&Cs apply | Gamble responsibly🎯 Who should choose which?
| If you… | Choose |
|---|---|
| Live in Lagos or Uganda and want a licensed casino | 22Bet |
| Want the biggest possible game library regardless of licence | Neither: a licensed casino with a smaller library is safer than an unlicensed one with 14,000 games |
| Want a fair welcome bonus | 22Bet’s sports bonus (5x) |
| Want Lucky Jet | Licensed casinos with similar crash games, such as Aviator |
| Live in Ghana and want a casino | Betano or Betway |
| Live in Kenya | Wait for the GRA’s 2026 register |
⚽ What about sports betting?
This comparison is about casinos, but many players use both products. On sports, 22Bet is the clearer choice where it’s licensed. It covers 1,000+ events a day with 30+ markets per football match, offers live betting, cash out and Bet Builder, and has a 100% sports welcome bonus with 5x wagering on accumulators at 1.40+. ChampsBase measured its Kenyan margin at 5.38%, which is average rather than sharp.
1win also takes sports bets and runs a Multiple Bet Bonus of 7% to 15%, according to Afrik-Foot, but it has no separate sports welcome bonus, per Afrik-Foot’s French review. In Tanzania, an affiliate site reports that 1win is on the Gaming Board’s sports betting register, which would make it a licensed sports option there, though not a licensed casino. Check the register yourself before relying on that.
🗓️ Your first week at 22Bet (Nigeria or Uganda)
- Day 1: register on 22bet.ng or 22bet.ug, and complete verification straight away (NIN in Nigeria; proof of age 25+ in Uganda).
- Set limits before your first deposit.
- Choose your bonus carefully: the sports bonus (5x) is good value; casino bonuses (35x to 50x) usually aren’t. You can skip both.
- Deposit a small amount and test a small withdrawal early, so you know the timing.
- Play casino games with a session budget, and use modest cash-out targets on crash games.
- End of week: compare what you’ve spent with your budget.
🔄 Moving from 1win to a licensed casino
- Withdraw your 1win balance to the bank account or wallet you deposited from, and keep screenshots.
- Check your email on Have I Been Pwned because of the 2024 breach, and change any reused passwords.
- Delete the APK and any 1win web-app shortcut.
- Open an account with a licensed casino in your country, and verify it before your first deposit.
- Set a deposit limit, and consider skipping the casino welcome bonus.
📖 Glossary
- Wagering requirement: how many times you must bet a bonus before withdrawing.
- RTP: return to player, the share of stakes a game pays back over time.

We checked both brands against the LSLGA register and illegal list, the FCT list, the NLGRB 2026 list, the GCG 2026 register, Kenya’s 2025/26 register and paybill suspension list, and Tanzania’s registers in AffSupreme’s October and November 2026 research. Product, bonus and payment details come from Soccernet, Afrik-Foot, ChampsBase, Pulse Sports, Paybill KE and bettingexpert (2026); background from Wikipedia, LCB, SlotCatalog and the Curaçao Chronicle. We didn’t open funded accounts at either casino. Where sources disagree, we show each version.

🏁 Final verdict: 1win vs 22Bet
1win has the bigger casino, with 14,000+ games, its own Lucky Jet crash game and a 500% headline bonus. But it’s on Lagos’s illegal list, we found no African casino licence for it, its bonus is released from your losses with 30x or 40x wagering, and a 2024 breach exposed data for about 96 to 100 million users. 22Bet has a smaller casino and its own history of complaints, but it’s licensed for casino games in Lagos and Uganda, has 2026 evidence of payouts in minutes, and offers a fair 5x sports bonus. Our scores: 22Bet 7.6/10, 1win 5.2/10. In Nigeria and Uganda, choose 22Bet. In Ghana, choose a GCG-licensed casino such as Betano or Betway. In Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, neither is a licensed casino choice.
