Is 22Bet Legit? Withdrawal Tests, Complaints and Licences in Africa (2026)
22Bet is one of the biggest international bookmakers in Africa, with local sites in Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda and Ghana. Founded in 2017, it’s known for a huge sportsbook, a 100% sports welcome bonus with light 5x wagering, and a lot of online noise: glowing affiliate reviews on one side, angry complaint threads on the other. So, is 22Bet legit?
The short answer: in Nigeria, Uganda and (for sports betting) Ghana, 22Bet’s local businesses are on the regulator’s register, and published withdrawal tests show payouts arriving in minutes. But there are real caveats: a history of payout complaints on international forums, a Trustpilot profile that’s been removed, allegations about the wider group behind the brand, and a Kenyan licence that can’t be checked until the regulator publishes its 2026 register. This guide sets out the evidence. We haven’t run our own funded withdrawal test; the test results below come from named reviewers, with dates and amounts. Every fact was checked in October and November 2026.
Disclosure: this page contains affiliate links to 22Bet’s Nigerian and Ugandan sites, where we confirmed its licences on the regulators’ registers. We don’t link to 22Bet Kenya while the Kenyan regulator’s 2026 register is unpublished, or to 22Bet Ghana, where it’s licensed for sports betting only and we haven’t verified the domain. This page isn’t legal advice.
📌 Is 22Bet legit? The short answer
- Nigeria: ✅ Arcadia Hospitality Ltd on the Lagos register, 23 May 2026 to 22 May 2027.
- Uganda: ✅ Arcadia Hospitality Ltd, NLGRB licences BM-26-0221 and CS-26-0222.
- Ghana: ⚠️ on the GCG 2026 register for sports betting only, with no online casino licence.
- Kenya: ⚠️ Nuntis Holdings Ltd, BK-0001293 / PG-0001294 on the 2025/26 register; the 2026 register is unpublished.
- Tanzania and South Africa: ❌ not licensed in our research.
- Withdrawal tests: M-Pesa payouts in 7 and 11 minutes (ChampsBase, Kenya) and a bank payout in about 8 minutes (Soccernet, Nigeria).
- Complaints: past slow-payment complaints on LCB’s forum, a removed Trustpilot profile, and 2025 allegations about the wider group behind the brand, which are allegations, not findings.
⭐ Our trust verdict: 7.6/10
22Bet is legit in the sense that matters most for African players: in Nigeria and Uganda, its local company is on the regulator’s register, so you have a local complaint route, and independent testers have been paid quickly. We mark it down for its international complaint history, opaque group ownership, inconsistent information between country sites, and the missing Kenyan 2026 register. Verify your account early, withdraw regularly, and use the local site for your country.

⚠️ Reasons for caution
- ⚠️ LCB placed it on a warning list for slow payments (2020)
- ⚠️ Trustpilot has removed a 22Bet profile for breaching its guidelines
- ⚠️ 2025 allegations about the international group behind the brand
- ⚠️ One tester’s withdrawal was wrongly denied before succeeding
- ⚠️ Kenya’s 2026 licence can’t yet be verified
🛡️ Is 22Bet legit? Licences country by country
“Legit” starts with the licence. 22Bet runs separate local businesses in each country, and we checked each against the regulator’s register where one is published.
| Country | Local company | Licence | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🇳🇬 Nigeria | Arcadia Hospitality Ltd | LSLGA online sports betting and online casino, 23 May 2026 – 22 May 2027 (code LSLGA/OP/OSB/22B230524) | ✅ On the Lagos register |
| 🇺🇬 Uganda | Arcadia Hospitality Ltd | NLGRB BM-26-0221 (betting) and CS-26-0222 (casino) | ✅ On the 2026 list |
| 🇬🇭 Ghana | Lantini Ltd (per ChampsBase) | GCG 2026: sports betting only | ⚠️ No online casino licence |
| 🇰🇪 Kenya | Nuntis Holdings Ltd | BK-0001293 / PG-0001294 (2025/26) | ⚠️ 2026 register unpublished |
| 🇹🇿 Tanzania | — | Not on the Gaming Board’s online register (October 2026) | ❌ Not licensed |
| 🇿🇦 South Africa | — | No provincial licence found | ❌ Not licensed |
Sources: LSLGA register, NLGRB 2026 list, GCG 2026 register, Kenya’s 2025/26 register, Gaming Board of Tanzania register, AffSupreme 22Bet research (October 2026). Soccernet also cites a national permit (NLRC 000103) and an Oyo State casino licence for 22Bet Nigeria.
Why Kenya is a special case
Kenya replaced its old regulator, the BCLB, with the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) under the Gambling Control Act 2025. 22Bet’s Kenyan company, Nuntis Holdings, was on the 2025/26 register, but those licences remained valid only until 24 September 2026, and the GRA hadn’t published a 2026 register by mid-October. ChampsBase also noticed that 22Bet’s Kenyan footer still cited the old regulator. None of that means 22Bet Kenya is unlicensed, but it means no one can independently confirm its 2026 licence yet. You can ask the GRA on 0800 723 770.
Who is behind 22Bet?
22Bet’s local companies are named on the registers above, but the international group behind the brand is less transparent. Paybill KE describes 22Bet as an international sister brand of 1xBet within the broader Bonpartage group, while saying the two run independently in Kenya under separate licences. In November 2025, the Curaçao Chronicle published an investigation into what it described as the offshore network behind 22Bet and its Curaçao licence. These are allegations, not findings by a regulator or court, and they concern the international group rather than the licensed African businesses. But they’re part of why we score 22Bet lower on ownership transparency than bookmakers with listed parent companies.
💸 22Bet withdrawal tests: what the evidence shows
We haven’t opened a funded 22Bet account ourselves. Instead, we’ve collected every hands-on withdrawal test we could find from named reviewers in 2026, with the amounts and timings they reported.
| Tester | Country | Method | Amount | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ChampsBase (29 Aug 2026) | 🇰🇪 Kenya | M-Pesa | KES 1,000 | ✅ Arrived in 7 minutes |
| ChampsBase (29 Aug 2026) | 🇰🇪 Kenya | M-Pesa | KES 1,500 | ✅ Arrived in 11 minutes |
| Soccernet (updated 2 Oct 2026) | 🇳🇬 Nigeria | Bank transfer | ₦12,000 | ✅ Arrived in about 8 minutes |
| bettingexpert (validated 7 Nov 2026) | 🇳🇬 Nigeria | Not stated | Not stated | ⚠️ One withdrawal denied although conditions were met; it went through after clearing cookies and logging in again |
Two other details from these tests matter as much as the speed. ChampsBase found that identity checks cleared in under four minutes, M-Pesa payouts went through without a repeat ID check, and the tax deductions were shown in the cashier before confirmation. Soccernet’s KYC took about six hours using a scanned NIN slip. In other words, the main bottleneck isn’t the payout itself but verification, so verify before you need to withdraw.
What these tests don’t prove
- They’re small amounts. KES 1,000 to KES 1,500 and ₦12,000 are typical small withdrawals. Large wins trigger extra checks: in Kenya, Paybill KE says amounts above KES 50,000 go through a KYC review taking 1 to 24 hours.
- They’re snapshots. Payment providers, network outages and weekends can all slow things down.
- They’re by affiliate sites. ChampsBase, Soccernet and bettingexpert all earn from bookmaker links, so treat their results as evidence, not guarantees.
⏱️ How long 22Bet withdrawals take, by country
| Country | Methods | Minimum | Stated times | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 🇳🇬 Nigeria | Bank transfer, Flutterwave, Paystack | ₦550 bank; ₦100 Flutterwave/Paystack (Soccernet) | Approval within 15 minutes (bettingexpert); bank 30 min to 3 h, Flutterwave/Paystack 15 min to 2 h (Soccernet); e-wallets 30 min to a few hours, bank within 24 h, cards up to 5 business days (Pulse Sports) | Soccernet, bettingexpert, Pulse Sports |
| 🇰🇪 Kenya | M-Pesa, Airtel Money | KES 100 (Paybill KE) or KES 225 (Goal) | 1 to 5 minutes when verified; 24 to 48 hours for first or large withdrawals | Paybill KE, Goal |
| 🇺🇬 Uganda | MTN and Airtel mobile money | Check the cashier | Not published in our sources | ChampsBase (methods) |
| 🇬🇭 Ghana | MTN MoMo, AirtelTigo, Telecel Cash | Check the cashier | Usually minutes, occasionally a few hours | Nigerian Matchday Ghana review |
Soccernet’s own page gives conflicting worst cases, from 1 to 2 days in its FAQ to up to seven working days in the article body, and Goal’s Kenyan page lists a KES 150,000 maximum per withdrawal, while Paybill KE describes tier-based daily caps of KES 70,000 to KES 300,000. Check the cashier for your account’s limits.
⚽ Beyond payouts: is 22Bet any good?
A legit bookmaker still has to be worth using. Here’s how 22Bet’s product stacks up, based on our October 2026 22Bet research.
| Area | What reviewers found |
|---|---|
| Sportsbook | 1,000+ events a day and 30+ markets per football match, with live betting, cash out, Bet Builder, esports and virtuals (Pulse Sports, ChampsBase) |
| Odds | A 5.38% margin in ChampsBase’s Kenyan comparison, fourth of five bookmakers; Betika’s was 3.00% |
| Casino | 1,000+ games (Pulse Sports) from 80+ providers (Soccernet); no RTPs or testing lab published (ChampsBase); no licensed casino in Ghana |
| Apps | Android APK and iOS in Nigeria and Uganda; sources disagree on Kenya |
| Interface | Cluttered for beginners, according to Soccernet |
What a 5.38% margin means for you
The margin is the bookmaker’s built-in edge. On a two-way market, a 5.38% margin means the odds on both sides imply a total probability of about 105.4% rather than 100%. Over many bets, you lose roughly that share of your stakes on average. Compared with a bookmaker at a 3% margin, betting KES 10,000 a month at 22Bet would cost about KES 240 more in expected value. That’s not a reason to avoid 22Bet, but it’s a reason to compare prices on big bets.
🎁 22Bet bonus terms by country
| Country | Sports welcome bonus | Key conditions |
|---|---|---|
| 🇳🇬 Nigeria | 100% match from ₦1,700 | 5x on accumulators of 3+ selections at 1.40+; 7 days; one per person, household and IP |
| 🇰🇪 Kenya | 100% up to KES 19,000, from KES 150 | 5x on accumulators of 3+ at 1.40+; 7 days; match based on the deposit after 5% excise; crypto excluded |
| 🇺🇬 Uganda | 100% up to about UGX 490,000 | 5x; crypto excluded |
Sources: Pulse Sports, ChampsBase, 22Bet’s Kenyan bonus guide (September 2026), Casino Wallet Guide (AffSupreme 22Bet research).
In Kenya, 22Bet’s own guide adds a 100% Friday reload with 3x wagering on accumulators at 1.40+ within 24 hours, and warns that a withdrawal made before the Friday deposit can block the reload. ChampsBase also lists a Kenyan casino offer of KES 60,000 plus 60 free spins with 35x wagering and a KES 750 bet cap, which is much tougher than the sports bonus.
Sports bonus maths
Take a KES 1,000 deposit in Kenya. After 5% excise, KES 950 reaches your account and is matched with a KES 950 bonus. To release it, you place KES 4,750 of accumulator bets (5 × 950) at odds of 1.40 or more per leg. With a three-leg accumulator and a 5% margin per leg, the combined margin is about 14%, so the expected cost of clearing the bonus is roughly KES 650, less than the KES 950 bonus. That makes it one of the few welcome bonuses that’s worth taking if you’d bet that much anyway.
📣 Is 22Bet legit? What the complaints show
Search for “22Bet complaints” and you’ll find plenty. Here’s what’s documented, how old it is, and what it tells you.
| Source | Date | What it says |
|---|---|---|
| LCB player complaints forum | January 2020 | A Czech player said 22Bet refused to pay a larger win after earlier payouts; he was paid €10,000 after complaining elsewhere. Another player said he was owed €14,500. LCB placed 22Bet on its warning list for slow payments and weak representative support. |
| LCB player complaints forum | October 2020 | A player reported a withdrawal that didn’t reach his bank and unanswered emails; LCB said the casino “does not assist us in sorting out players’ complaints”. The thread closed when the player stopped replying. |
| Trustpilot | Checked November 2026 | The profile for m.22bet.com shows as removed for going against Trustpilot’s guidelines, so there’s no current review score to cite. |
| bettingexpert | November 2026 | One test withdrawal in Nigeria was denied even though conditions were met, then succeeded after clearing cookies and logging in again. |
| Soccernet | October 2026 | Live chat returns generic help topics and is slow at peak hours; the phone line connected in seconds. |
| ChampsBase | August 2026 | Kenyan footer still cited the old regulator; conflicting information about which ID documents are accepted. |
| Curaçao Chronicle | November 2025 | Investigation alleging an offshore network behind 22Bet’s international business; allegations only. |
Two points stand out. First, the most serious payout complaints we could verify are from 2020 and concern the international site, not the licensed African businesses. Second, the most recent African evidence, from 2026 tests in Kenya and Nigeria, shows payouts arriving quickly, with problems mostly around verification, support quality and glitches rather than refusals to pay.
Why 22Bet withdrawals get delayed or rejected
Most “22Bet won’t pay me” stories come down to a handful of causes. Paybill KE lists these for Kenya, and the same patterns appear in Nigerian reviews:
| Cause | What happens | How to avoid it |
|---|---|---|
| First-withdrawal anti-fraud review | 24 to 48 hours’ hold | Complete KYC before you win |
| Unfinished bonus wagering | Withdrawal rejected or reduced | Finish the 5x rollover, or don’t take the bonus |
| Name mismatch | Payout fails | Your M-Pesa or bank account must be in the same name as your 22Bet account |
| Different payment method | Withdrawal refused | Withdraw to the method you deposited with (bettingexpert, Goal) |
| Daily caps | Payout queues or splits | Split large withdrawals over days |
| Large amount | Extra KYC review | Upload ID and selfie (Kenya) or ID and proof of address early |
| Weekend or holiday | Settles next business day | Request on weekdays where possible |
| Duplicate requests | Must be unwound by support | Request once and wait the normal window |
Bonus rules that block withdrawals
22Bet’s sports welcome bonus is one of the fairer ones around, but it still has rules that cause disputes. In Nigeria, it’s a 100% match from a ₦1,700 deposit, wagered 5 times on accumulators of three or more selections at odds of 1.40 or more, within seven days, and limited to one per person, household and IP address, according to Pulse Sports and ChampsBase. In Kenya, it’s 100% up to KES 19,000, also with 5x wagering. Crypto deposits are excluded from the welcome bonus. If you withdraw before finishing the rollover, the bonus and its winnings can be cancelled. If two people in your household both claim it, expect problems.
🆘 How to complain about 22Bet
- Gather evidence: withdrawal reference, amount, timestamps, your registered phone, and screenshots of any “failed” or “cancelled” reason.
- Contact support: live chat first, then a written ticket by email if chat can’t fix it within 24 hours. In Nigeria, phone +234 90 7026 3332; in Kenya, +254 706557811 or WhatsApp +254 716615149.
- Check your payment provider: look at your M-Pesa statement (*334#) or bank statement, not just your SMS inbox.
- Escalate to the regulator if it’s still unresolved: the LSLGA in Lagos, the NLGRB in Uganda, the GCG in Ghana, or the GRA in Kenya. Paybill KE says the GRA gives operators 14 days from the first written complaint.
- Payment disputes: in Kenya, Paybill KE suggests the Central Bank of Kenya if the settlement itself is disputed, and the Communications Authority if the fault is on the mobile network’s side.
That regulator step is the key difference between a licensed local site and an offshore one. If you play on a 22Bet domain that isn’t licensed in your country, you lose it.
🚩 22Bet scams and lookalikes
- Fake paybills: different 22Bet paybill numbers circulate online in Kenya (7325515 and 895599 both appear). Copy the paybill from inside your 22Bet account, and check that the M-Pesa SMS names 22BET as the recipient.
- Mirror sites: use the local domain for your country, such as 22bet.ng or 22bet.ug, not “new links” from Telegram.
- “Agents” and “account sellers”: someone offering to fund your account or sell you a verified account is a scam risk, and it breaks 22Bet’s one-account rules.
- Promo-code and fixed-match sellers: 22Bet’s sports welcome bonus needs no paid code.
📲 How to withdraw from 22Bet
Nigeria (bank transfer)
- Complete verification with your ID and NIN; Lagos rules require the NIN for KYC and tax.
- Log in at 22bet.ng and open Withdraw.
- Choose bank transfer or Flutterwave/Paystack, and enter an account in your own name.
- Enter at least ₦550 for bank transfer and confirm.
- Allow up to 24 hours; in Soccernet’s test, ₦12,000 arrived in about 8 minutes.
Kenya (M-Pesa)
- Upload your national ID (front and back) and a selfie, and make sure your Safaricom line is registered in the same name.
- Open My Account, then Withdraw, and choose M-Pesa.
- Enter the amount (from KES 100, per Paybill KE) and confirm.
- Check your M-Pesa statement after 30 minutes; 5% withholding tax is deducted first.
- For a first or large withdrawal, allow 24 to 48 hours before escalating.
Uganda (MTN or Airtel)
- Verify your account; you must be 25 or over to bet in Uganda.
- Open the cashier at 22bet.ug and choose your mobile money network.
- Enter the amount and confirm; 15% withholding tax applies to net winnings from 1 July 2026.
🪪 Verification documents
| Country | What to prepare |
|---|---|
| 🇳🇬 Nigeria | Government ID and NIN; proof of address for larger withdrawals. Soccernet’s KYC cleared in about 6 hours with a scanned NIN slip. |
| 🇰🇪 Kenya | National ID (front and back) and a selfie; Safaricom line in the same name. ChampsBase’s KYC cleared in under 4 minutes. |
| 🇺🇬 Uganda | Government ID; proof of age (25+) |
| 🇬🇭 Ghana | Ghana Card |
🧾 Taxes on 22Bet withdrawals
| Country | Deduction |
|---|---|
| 🇳🇬 Nigeria (Lagos) | 5% withholding tax on net winnings |
| 🇰🇪 Kenya | 5% excise on deposits and 5% withholding on withdrawals; sources disagree on whether a 20% tax applies to betting winnings |
| 🇺🇬 Uganda | 15% withholding on net winnings from 1 July 2026 |
| 🇬🇭 Ghana | No tax on winnings since 2 April 2025 |
If a payout is smaller than expected, check the deduction lines in the cashier. ChampsBase found 22Bet Kenya shows them before you confirm.
⚡ How to get paid faster at 22Bet
- Verify on day one, before you have winnings to withdraw.
- Use one payment method for deposits and withdrawals, in your own name.
- Finish or skip bonuses: an unfinished 5x rollover is a common reason for rejection.
- Withdraw regularly rather than leaving a large balance.
- Split big wins to stay within daily caps, and expect extra checks above KES 50,000 in Kenya.
- Request once: duplicate requests slow things down.
- If a request fails for no reason, log out, clear your browser cookies and try again, which fixed bettingexpert’s failed test.
💬 22Bet support: how good is it?
| Channel | What testers found |
|---|---|
| Live chat | About 4 minutes to a reply in Kenya (ChampsBase); generic help topics and slow at peak in Nigeria (Soccernet) |
| 3 hours 25 minutes in Kenya (ChampsBase); a few hours in Nigeria (Soccernet) | |
| Phone | Connected within seconds in Nigeria (Soccernet); Kenyan line +254 706557811 |
| WhatsApp / Telegram | Kenya WhatsApp +254 716615149; Ghana Telegram @Ghana22BETSupport |
Support is adequate rather than great. For a withdrawal problem, phone (Nigeria) or WhatsApp (Kenya) is likely to be quicker than chat, and an email ticket gives you a written record if you need to escalate.
📊 22Bet vs other licensed bookmakers on payouts
| Bookmaker | Country | Published payout test |
|---|---|---|
| 22Bet | 🇰🇪 Kenya | M-Pesa in 7 and 11 minutes (ChampsBase) |
| 22Bet | 🇳🇬 Nigeria | Bank in about 8 minutes (Soccernet) |
| SportyBet | 🇳🇬 Nigeria | OPay in under a minute (ChampsBase) |
| Bet9ja | 🇳🇬 Nigeria | Three bank withdrawals averaging about 56 minutes, no fees (ChampsBase) |
Sources: AffSupreme 22Bet, SportyBet and Bet9ja research (2026).
On payout speed, 22Bet holds its own against the best-known local brands. Where it lags is transparency: SportyBet and Bet9ja are long-established, locally rooted brands without 22Bet’s international complaint history.
💳 22Bet deposits: what to expect
| Country | Methods | Details |
|---|---|---|
| 🇳🇬 Nigeria | Visa, Mastercard and Verve via Paystack and Flutterwave, bank transfer, USSD, OPay, PalmPay | From ₦50 by card through Paystack; most other methods from ₦100 (Soccernet) |
| 🇰🇪 Kenya | M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Visa and Mastercard | Deposits credited in under 2 minutes in ChampsBase’s test; 1 to 5 minutes per Paybill KE; 5% excise deducted |
| 🇺🇬 Uganda | MTN and Airtel mobile money | Check the cashier for minimums |
| 🇬🇭 Ghana | MTN MoMo, AirtelTigo, Telecel Cash | MoMo deposits described as instant |
If a Kenyan deposit hasn’t arrived after 5 minutes, Paybill KE suggests checking that the M-Pesa SMS names 22BET as the recipient. If it does, contact live chat after about 30 minutes with the M-Pesa code and your account ID. If the recipient is a personal name or an unrelated business, call Safaricom on 100 about a reversal straight away.
🧭 22Bet’s responsible gambling tools
Paybill KE describes server-side daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits on 22Bet Kenya, with a 24 to 72 hour cooling-off period before an increase takes effect. Licensed operators must also connect to national self-exclusion schemes, such as Lagos’s SafePlay and Kenya’s planned national register. Set a limit when you register, not after a bad week.
🔎 How to tell if any betting site is legit
- Find the company name in the footer, not just the brand name.
- Look it up on your regulator’s register: the LSLGA list in Lagos, the GCG list in Ghana, the NLGRB list in Uganda, the Gaming Board’s online register in Tanzania, or a provincial board in South Africa.
- Check the dates: Ghanaian and Ugandan licences expire on 31 December each year, and Lagos entries have start and end dates.
- Check the domain: licences cover a local site, such as 22bet.ng or 22bet.ug, not every mirror.
- Look for published withdrawal tests with dates, amounts and methods, not just “fast payouts” claims.
- Read complaint threads critically: note the date, the country and whether the operator resolved it.
- Test small first: make a small deposit and withdrawal before trusting a site with larger amounts.
🇬🇭 22Bet in Ghana and Uganda: what’s licensed
In Ghana, 22Bet is a legit choice for sports betting only: the GCG’s 2026 register lists it without an online casino licence, so avoid its casino there. ChampsBase names Lantini Ltd as the Ghanaian company, and 22Bet lists help@22bet.com.gh and a Telegram support channel. In Uganda, Arcadia Hospitality holds both betting and casino licences, so the full product is licensed, but the 25+ age rule and the 15% tax on net winnings apply. Ugandan and Ghanaian licences both run to 31 December 2026, so check the 2027 lists in January.
🧪 Run your own 22Bet withdrawal test
The best evidence about whether 22Bet is legit for you is your own small test. It takes a day and costs very little:
- Register and verify fully before you deposit. Note how long KYC takes.
- Deposit a small amount by the method you’ll use long term, and note the time it lands.
- Place one or two small bets without claiming a bonus, so no rollover blocks the withdrawal.
- Withdraw slightly more than the minimum (₦550 by bank in Nigeria, or KES 100 to KES 225 by M-Pesa in Kenya) on a weekday.
- Record the time of the request, the status changes and the time the money arrives, with screenshots.
- Repeat once more a week later. Two quick payouts tell you far more than any review.
If your test withdrawal is held or rejected, you’ll find out while the amount is small, and you’ll have the records you need to escalate.
❓ “22Bet is a scam”: myths and facts
| Claim | What the evidence says |
|---|---|
| “22Bet never pays” | 2026 tests in Kenya and Nigeria were paid in 7 to 11 minutes; the documented non-payment complaints we found date from 2020 |
| “22Bet is unlicensed” | It’s on the Lagos and Ugandan registers, and Ghana’s for sports; not licensed in Tanzania or South Africa |
| “The bonus is impossible to clear” | The sports bonus has 5x wagering at 1.40+, among the lighter terms we’ve seen; the casino bonus is much tougher |
| “22Bet is 1xBet” | Paybill KE calls it a sister brand in the same group; its African businesses hold separate local licences |
| “It’s all fine, no risks” | Not quite: ownership is opaque, a Trustpilot profile was removed, and allegations about the group were published in 2025 |
🎯 Should you use 22Bet?
| Use it if you… | Look elsewhere if you… |
|---|---|
| Live in Nigeria or Uganda, where it’s on the register | Live in Tanzania or South Africa, where it isn’t licensed |
| Want a huge sportsbook and a sports bonus with 5x wagering | Want a bookmaker with a fully transparent owner |
| Will verify early and withdraw regularly | Plan to leave large balances on the site |
| Bet on sports in Ghana | Want a licensed online casino in Ghana |

🏁 Final verdict: is 22Bet legit?
Yes, where it’s licensed. 22Bet’s Nigerian and Ugandan businesses are on the regulators’ 2026 registers, its Ghanaian site is licensed for sports betting, and 2026 withdrawal tests in Kenya and Nigeria show payouts arriving in minutes. The caveats are real: slow-payment complaints on international forums in 2020, a removed Trustpilot profile, 2025 allegations about the group behind it, and a Kenyan licence that can’t be confirmed until the GRA publishes its register. Our trust score is 7.6/10. If you use 22Bet, stay on your country’s local site, verify on day one, finish or skip the bonus, and withdraw regularly.
