Odibets Review & Bonus Codes 2026: Free Bet, M-Pesa Payouts and Licence Status Checked

Looking for an honest Odibets review and the latest Odibets bonus codes? Odibets is one of Kenya’s best-known home-grown bookmakers: founded in 2018, it’s known for KSh 1 minimum stakes, sharp football odds, fast M-Pesa payouts and a stream of small promotions such as a KSh 30 sign-up free bet, cashback and crash-game giveaways.

It’s also a brand under scrutiny. Kenya’s new regulator, the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA), hadn’t published its 2026 licence register when we last checked, Odibets’ 2026 licence numbers are referred to in a pending court application, and on 4 November 2026 a Kenyan news site reported allegations that Odibets is operating with an invalid licence. This review sets out what Odibets offers, what its bonuses are really worth, whether you need a code, and exactly what is and isn’t confirmed about its licence. Every fact was checked in October and November 2026, and where sources disagree we say so.

Editorial note: we haven’t added Odibets sign-up links to this review while its 2026 licence can’t be verified on a published GRA register. We’ll review that decision as soon as the GRA publishes its 2026 register. This review isn’t legal advice. Betting is for adults only.

📌 Odibets at a glance

  • Operator: Kareco Holdings Limited, Parklands, Nairobi; founded 2018.
  • Last published licences: bookmaker BK0001095, public gaming PG-0001096 and public lottery PL-0001097 on Kenya’s 2025/26 register, which the GRA said was valid only until 24 September 2026.
  • 2026 licence: not confirmable on a published register; referred to in a pending court application, and the subject of an allegation reported on 4 November 2026.
  • Bonus: a KSh 30 free bet on sign-up with no deposit, according to ChampsBase, and none of our sources says a promo code is needed; referral codes earn the referrer a bonus of up to KSh 100.
  • Payments: M-Pesa paybill 290680; deposits and stakes from KSh 1; withdrawals from KSh 100.
  • Odds: some of the lowest margins measured in Kenya in ChampsBase’s same-day test.
  • Taxes: 5% excise on deposits and 5% withholding on withdrawals under the 2025 law.

⭐ Our verdict: 7.2/10

On product alone, Odibets is a strong choice for small-stake Kenyan bettors: very low minimums, competitive odds, quick M-Pesa payouts and unusually responsive support. Its bonuses are numerous but small, and turning cashback into real money is hard. What holds its score back is licensing: we can’t confirm a 2026 licence on a published register, and the brand faces court-related and data-related allegations that haven’t been resolved.

✅ What we like

  • ✅ Deposits and stakes from KSh 1
  • ✅ Some of Kenya’s lowest margins in testing
  • ✅ Fast M-Pesa payouts
  • ✅ Phone, WhatsApp, Telegram and live chat support
  • ✅ Light app and SMS/USSD access

⚠️ What could be better

  • ⚠️ 2026 licence not confirmable on a published register
  • ⚠️ Court and data-related allegations unresolved
  • ⚠️ Very hard cashback conversion rules
  • ⚠️ Narrow sports menu
  • ⚠️ Inactivity charge after 365 days
⚠️ Licence status, November 2026: Kenya’s licences under the old regime expired on 24 September 2026, and the GRA hadn’t published a 2026 register by mid-October. Odibets’ 2026 licence numbers were referred to in a court application in October, and on 4 November 2026 Kenya Insights published a report headlined “Court Documents Reveal Odibets Is Operating With Invalid License After Disobeying Court Orders, GRA Convenes Emergency Meeting”. We couldn’t read the court documents, and we haven’t seen a response from Odibets or a statement from the GRA. Treat these as unresolved allegations, and check the GRA (helpline 0800 723 770) before depositing.

🛡️ Is Odibets licensed in Kenya?

This is the most important question in any Odibets review, and in November 2026 the honest answer is: it was licensed on the last published register, but its current licence can’t be independently confirmed.

The last published licences

Odibets is run by Kareco Holdings Limited. On Kenya’s 2025/26 register, which ChampsBase checked, Kareco held three licences: bookmaker (BK0001095), public gaming (PG-0001096) and public lottery (PL-0001097). Paybillke notes that Kareco still states on its own site that it’s licensed by the GRA under BK0001095 and PG-0001096. The problem is timing: the GRA said licences on the 2025/26 list remained valid only until 24 September 2026, iGaming Times reported.

The 2026 licensing round

The Gambling Control Act 2025 replaced the old Betting Control and Licensing Board with the GRA, and new regulations came into force on 1 July 2026, with a licence fee of KSh 50 million for online bookmakers. The licensing round was delayed by a judicial review challenging the fees: in August 2026, the High Court let the GRA keep processing applications, with 246 pending, on condition that it refund any fees later found unlawful. As of 14 October 2026, the GRA hadn’t published a register of 2026 licences, and its website still showed the 2025/26 list.

Court and media reports about Odibets

  • October 2026: a court application reported by 254 News referred to new 2026 licence numbers for Odibets, which it said appeared on Odibets’ website on 8 October and had been removed by 9 October. These are the applicant’s claims, not court findings.
  • 4 November 2026: Kenya Insights published an article headlined “Court Documents Reveal Odibets Is Operating With Invalid License After Disobeying Court Orders, GRA Convenes Emergency Meeting”. We couldn’t access the documents it cites, and we found no response from Odibets or statement from the GRA.
  • Data allegations: in 2026, 254 News and iGaming Expert linked Odibets, Betika and Kwikbet to allegations about the use of leaked Safaricom subscriber data, after the High Court ruled against Safaricom on 13 May 2026. No finding against Odibets has been reported.
  • Business continuity: in August 2026, iGaming Expert reported that Odibets had gone live in Kenya and Tanzania with QTech Games’ content, as it re-strategised “after recent judicial tensions”.
⚠️ What this means for you: none of these allegations has been decided, and Odibets continues to operate. But a licence you can’t verify gives you less protection if something goes wrong. Before depositing, ask the GRA (0800 723 770) whether Kareco Holdings holds a current licence, and keep only small balances on the platform until the 2026 register is published.

Odibets outside Kenya

ChampsBase reports that Odibets operates in Ghana through Camabe Software Developers Ghana Limited, with a licence for online sports betting only for 2026; we couldn’t confirm Odibets on our own copy of the Gaming Commission of Ghana’s 2026 data. In Tanzania, it went live in 2026 through the QTech Games deal. This review focuses on Kenya.

🎁 Odibets bonus codes: do you need one?

Many sites advertise “Odibets bonus codes”, but the main sign-up offer doesn’t appear to need one. Here’s how the codes and offers actually work:

OfferCode needed?What you getSource
Sign-up free betNo code mentionedKSh 30 free bet, no depositChampsBase (Aug 2026)
Referral (Mbogi Bonus)Your friend’s referral code or linkThe referrer gets a bonus matching the friend’s stake, up to KSh 100Football Whispers (Oct 2025)
Daily deposit rewardsNoSmall credits (KSh 5–33) on daily depositsChampsBase
First losing bet of the dayNoRefund up to KSh 200ChampsBase
Weekly cashbackNo5% up to KSh 500ChampsBase

Promotions change often; check Odibets’ promotions page for current terms. Football Whispers’ referral terms are from October 2025 and partly inconsistent.

The KSh 30 free bet

New Kenyan customers get a KSh 30 free bet when they register, with no deposit needed, according to ChampsBase. Football Whispers says it’s valid for seven days. It’s a small offer, but it lets you try the platform without risking your own money. Remember that free bet winnings are usually paid without the stake, and that wagering rules may apply.

Referral codes and the Mbogi Bonus

If a friend invites you, you can enter their referral code at sign-up. According to Football Whispers, once the friend places a qualifying bet of at least KSh 49 at odds of 4.99 or more (or a multi-bet or jackpot bet), the referrer receives a bonus matching the stake, up to KSh 100. Bonus bets don’t count towards jackpots. The referral reward goes to the person who invited you, not to you, so a “code” posted online is mainly a way for someone else to earn a small bonus.

🧮 The catch: turning bonuses into cash

Odibets offers more small promotions than most Kenyan bookmakers, but ChampsBase found that cashback and refunds only become withdrawable after an unusually demanding bet: a six-selection accumulator on the match result market, with every leg at odds of 2.50 or more, within 48 hours. Legs priced under 1.50 count for nothing.

Legs at odds 2.50Combined oddsChance all win (fair odds)
12.5040%
315.6About 6.4%
6About 244About 0.4%

In other words, about 1 in 244 such bets would win at fair odds, and bookmaker margins make it slightly worse. Treat Odibets’ cashback and refunds as extra stakes to enjoy, not as money you’re likely to withdraw.

🧮 What the Odibets bonus code offers are really worth

Because none of Odibets’ main offers needs a bonus code, the real question is what they’re worth. Here’s a simple way to think about the KSh 30 free bet:

How you use KSh 30 free betChance to win (fair odds)Typical return if it wins (stake not returned)
Single at odds 2.0050%KSh 30
Single at odds 5.0020%KSh 120
Five-leg multi at 1.50 each (about 7.6)About 13%About KSh 198

Illustration only, assuming free bet winnings exclude the stake and ignoring taxes and wagering rules. Check the current terms.

On average, a KSh 30 free bet is worth a little less than KSh 30 in expected winnings, whichever way you use it, because bookmaker margins reduce the fair odds. It’s a nice way to test the platform, but it’s not a reason to choose a bookmaker.

🚩 Beware of “Odibets bonus code” scams

Because “Odibets bonus code” is a popular search, it attracts misleading pages. Warning signs include:

  1. “Secret” or “VIP” codes promising bigger bonuses than Odibets’ own promotions page shows.
  2. Requests to pay a fee or send money to unlock a code or “fixed” jackpot predictions.
  3. Fake paybills such as 290681 or 290608, which Paybillke lists as scam variants of 290680.
  4. APK downloads from pages that aren’t Odibets’ official website.
  5. Aviator “predictor” codes or apps: crash results are random, and these are always scams.

🔁 Odibets promotions in 2026

  • Crash-game freebets: in June, Odibets announced more than KSh 6 million in freebets for players of its Odi Hero and Fury Flight crash games, Capital FM reported. Lead bookmaker Michael Kihonge said: “More than KSh 6 million worth of freebets will be up for grabs.”
  • Aviator missions: from February 2026, Odibets added missions and leaderboards to Aviator.
  • Zoza na Odibets App: an app-based reward launched in March 2026, with up to KSh 50,000 a week.
  • JetX free spins: a promotion offering free spins on JetX, with up to KSh 3 million daily, Capital FM reported.
  • Jackpots: a 13-game jackpot and a 7-game jackpot, with much better odds of winning than Kenya’s 17-game jackpots, but smaller prizes.

Promotions tied to crash games encourage fast, repeated play. If you join one, set a budget first.

⚽ Odibets sportsbook and odds

Odibets is built around football and low-stake accumulators. ChampsBase’s August 2026 test counted 13 sports, about 150 markets per football match and 132 football events on the day it checked. That’s a narrower menu than Betika or SportPesa, but the prices are the real draw.

Margins: among the lowest in Kenya

In a same-day comparison of five matches on 24 August 2026, ChampsBase measured average margins of 2.97% at Odibets, 2.96% at Betika and 4.30% at SportPesa. Odibets had the best or joint-best price on 10 of 15 selections, including the draw in all five matches, while Betika was best on favourites.

BookmakerAverage margin (5 matches, 24 Aug 2026)Best on
Odibets2.97%Draws and outsiders
Betika2.96%Favourites
SportPesa4.30%—

Source: ChampsBase’s funded Odibets test (August 2026). One sample of five matches; prices change constantly.

A lower margin means more of your stake comes back over time. If you mostly bet draws or underdogs, Odibets is worth checking first; for favourites, compare with Betika.

Live betting, cash out and OdiTV

Odibets offers live betting on football, basketball, rugby and cricket, with cash out on selected bets. OdiTV streams selected matches. ChampsBase noted that the place-bet button lagged by several seconds on two of six live slips, so in-play prices can move before your bet is accepted.

Jackpots

Odibets runs shorter jackpots than Kenya’s big 17-game prizes. Paybillke describes a 13-game jackpot, with 1,594,323 possible combinations, and a 7-game jackpot, with just 2,187. Prizes are smaller than SportPesa’s or Betika’s, but your chance of winning is far higher. For comparison, a 17-game jackpot has about 129 million combinations.

Stakes and limits

  • Minimum stake: KSh 1, according to ChampsBase and Paybillke. Kenya’s 2026 regulations set a KSh 20 minimum for online stakes, so this may change as the new rules are applied.
  • Maximum stake: KSh 150,000, per ChampsBase.
  • Maximum payout: KSh 4,000,000 per slip and per day.

📖 Popular Odibets markets explained

  • 1X2: home win (1), draw (X) or away win (2). Odibets had the best draw price in all five matches in ChampsBase’s test.
  • Double chance: covers two of the three results, at lower odds.
  • Over/under goals: whether a match has more or fewer goals than a line, such as 2.5.
  • Both teams to score (GG/NG): whether both sides score.
  • Multi-bet (accumulator): several selections that must all win; popular with KSh 1 stakes, but each extra leg cuts your chance of winning.
  • Jackpot: predict the results of a fixed set of 7 or 13 matches.
  • Live bets: bets placed during a match, with odds that change as it unfolds.

Why KSh 1 stakes need a plan

Odibets’ KSh 1 minimum is great for trying the platform, but tiny stakes can hide how much you’re spending. With 5% excise on every deposit and 5% withheld on every withdrawal, frequent small deposits and withdrawals lose a noticeable share to tax. Set a weekly budget, deposit it once, and track your net result rather than individual wins.

🎰 Odibets casino, Aviator and crash games

Odibets’ casino has grown quickly. ChampsBase counted 31 game suppliers, including Evolution, Pragmatic Play, SmartSoft and Spribe, and in 2026 Odibets added content from QTech Games. Crash games are the centrepiece:

  • Aviator: with missions and leaderboards added in 2026.
  • JetX and Aviatrix: through a partnership with Incentive Games, with JetX free-spin promotions.
  • Odi Hero and Fury Flight: crash games featured in the June 2026 KSh 6 million freebet campaign.
  • OdiLeague: Odibets’ own virtual football league, with quick matches and familiar markets.

ChampsBase found no published RTPs (return-to-player percentages) for the casino games. It also recorded how deductions affect wins: a KSh 200 Aviator stake cashed out at 4.7x returned KSh 940 gross and KSh 792 after deduction. That deduction equals 20% of the KSh 740 profit, which matches Paybillke’s description of a 20% withholding tax on winnings from 1 July 2026; iGaming Times says the statute applies 20% only to lotteries and prize competitions, with 5% on withdrawals for betting. Check your own transaction records.

How to deposit with M-Pesa

  1. Open the M-Pesa app or dial the M-Pesa menu.
  2. Select Lipa na M-Pesa, then Pay Bill.
  3. Enter business number 290680.
  4. Enter your Odibets-registered phone number as the account number.
  5. Enter the amount and your M-Pesa PIN, and confirm.
  6. Check the confirmation SMS shows “ODIBETS” or “ODIBETS KENYA” as the recipient.
⚠️ Watch for scam paybills: Paybillke lists 290681 and 290608 as scam variants of Odibets’ paybill. One online Airtel Money guide even listed 290290, which is Betika’s paybill. Always double-check 290680 before you confirm.

The inactivity charge

ChampsBase found an unusual rule in Odibets’ terms: after 365 days without activity, an inactivity charge of KSh 200 a month, or 5% of the balance if that’s higher, applies. Kenya’s new regulations require operators to return balances with no transactions for three months to the player, so this rule may need to change. Either way, withdraw your balance if you stop playing.

📱 Odibets app and mobile access

Odibets is designed for phones, including basic and low-end ones:

Sources disagree about the Android app’s distribution: ChampsBase found it on Google Play, while Paybillke describes an APK download and says Odibets isn’t on Google Play. Odibets was reported in 2023 as Kenya’s first betting app on Google Play. If you can’t find it there, download only from Odibets’ official website, and switch off “unknown sources” afterwards.

The App Store listing confirms that the iPhone app is published under Kareco Holdings Limited, the company behind Odibets’ licences. It describes M-Pesa and Airtel Money payments and an 18+ age limit, but doesn’t state a licence number.

💬 Customer support

Support is one of Odibets’ strengths. In ChampsBase’s tests, the phone line answered in under 15 seconds, a WhatsApp case was closed in 12 minutes, and live chat took about 4 minutes.

  • Phone: 0709 183 680 (ChampsBase).
  • WhatsApp: 0709 290 290 (Paybillke).
  • Also: live chat, Telegram, email and X (@Odibets_KE).

If a deposit doesn’t show, give support your M-Pesa confirmation code. If you sent money to the wrong paybill, request a reversal through Safaricom promptly.

📝 How to register at Odibets

  1. Check the licence status first with the GRA (0800 723 770), given the questions about Odibets’ 2026 licence.
  2. Open the official Odibets site or app.
  3. Register with your Safaricom number and create a password.
  4. Enter a friend’s referral code if you have one (optional).
  5. Confirm you’re 18 or over and complete identity verification; Kenya’s 2025 law requires identity, age and location checks before your account is activated and before your first deposit.
  6. Claim the KSh 30 free bet if it’s offered.
  7. Set deposit limits before your first deposit.
  8. Deposit via paybill 290680.

💰 Betting taxes at Odibets

Kenya’s taxes apply to every licensed bookmaker, including Odibets:

TaxRateApplies to
Excise duty5%Every deposit
Withholding tax5%Every withdrawal (from 1 July 2026, per iGaming Times)
Withholding tax on winnings20%Lotteries and prize competitions per iGaming Times; Paybillke applies it to betting winnings too

Example: deposit KSh 1,000 and KSh 50 goes in excise, leaving KSh 950 to bet. Withdraw KSh 2,000 and a further 5% (KSh 100) is withheld. ChampsBase’s Aviator test suggests an additional deduction on casino winnings, so check your statement.

🧭 Responsible gambling tools

ChampsBase found that Odibets offers the widest set of player tools among Kenya’s big three:

  • Deposit limits (daily, weekly or monthly), with 24–72 hour cooling-off on increases.
  • Reality checks and time-outs.
  • Self-exclusion from six months.

Kenya’s new law requires operators to offer self-exclusion of at least 24 hours and to connect to a national self-exclusion register run by the GRA, which existing licensees are expected to join by about the end of December 2026.

🏢 About Odibets

Odibets was founded in 2018 and is run by Kareco Holdings Limited from Parklands, Nairobi. It grew by focusing on what many Kenyan bettors want: tiny stakes, quick M-Pesa payments and a light app that works on cheap phones and slow connections. Over time it added its own products, such as OdiLeague virtual football and OdiTV streaming, and a growing casino built around crash games.

Aviator has become central to the brand. In September 2025, Odibets said its Aviator game had passed 1 million players in Kenya, a company figure reported by Business Today and AllAfrica. Head of Product Wilsonm Gichuhi said: “We’re thrilled to see Aviator take flight with over 1 million Kenyan players.” The company marked the milestone with extra free bets and an in-game chat feature. These figures come from Odibets and haven’t been independently verified.

In 2026, Odibets expanded its content through a deal with QTech Games and went live in Tanzania, while ChampsBase reports a sports-betting-only licence in Ghana. At home, it faces the same transition as every Kenyan bookmaker, from the old BCLB regime to the GRA’s 2026 licensing system, and the additional scrutiny described in our licence section.

⚖️ What Kenya’s 2026 rules mean for Odibets players

The Gambling Control Act 2025 and the regulations in force from 1 July 2026 change how every Kenyan bookmaker, including Odibets, must treat you:

  • Identity checks: identity, age and location checks before your account is activated and before your first deposit, and again before large payouts.
  • Minimum stake: KSh 20 for online stakes, which is above Odibets’ long-standing KSh 1 minimum.
  • Payouts: monetary prizes must be credited to your account within two days.
  • Inactive balances: balances with no transactions for three months must be returned to the player.
  • Self-exclusion: operators must offer at least 24 hours and connect to the GRA’s national register.
  • Fair games: software and platform providers need their own GRA licence, with random number generators certified by an accredited testing lab and live monitoring by the GRA, Techweez reported.
  • Your data: player data must be stored on servers in Kenya unless the GRA grants an exemption, and player funds must be kept separate from operating funds.
  • Payments: the Act bans credit-card gambling and crypto payments unless approved.

These protections apply to licensed operators. That’s another reason it matters whether Odibets’ 2026 licence is confirmed: if it is, these rules give you stronger protection than before; if it isn’t, they don’t help you.

We based this Odibets review on ChampsBase’s funded test (August 2026), which covered deposits, withdrawals, odds, support and terms; Paybillke’s Odibets pages (updated 1 November 2026); the Odibets App Store listing; iGaming Times’ summary of Kenya’s 2025 Act and regulations (verified 14 October 2026); and reporting by Capital FM, iGaming Expert, 254 News, Kenya Insights and Football Whispers. The GRA’s licensed-operator page couldn’t be read by our tools. We report allegations as allegations and haven’t drawn conclusions from them. We didn’t open a funded Odibets account ourselves.

Why doesn’t this review include a sign-up link?

🏁 Final verdict: Odibets review 2026

As a product, Odibets is one of Kenya’s best options for small-stake bettors: KSh 1 minimums, some of the lowest margins measured in the country, fast M-Pesa payouts, light apps and responsive support. Its bonuses, including the KSh 30 free bet, are real but small, and its cashback is very hard to convert. The big question mark is licensing: Odibets’ last published licences expired in September 2026, its 2026 licence can’t yet be verified, and allegations reported in October and November 2026 remain unresolved. Our score is 7.2/10. If you use Odibets, check its status with the GRA, keep balances small and withdraw regularly until the 2026 register is published.
