Chicken Road Game Review & Best Casinos

Chicken Road Game Review & Best Casinos (2026): How It Works and Where to Play in Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana

Thinking about trying the Chicken Road game? InOut Games’ step-by-step crash game asks you to guide a chicken across a road, one lane at a time, and cash out before it gets caught. Its listed RTP of 98% is high, and it lets you choose your own risk level, which explains why it’s become one of the most talked-about casino games of the past two years.

It’s also one of the most heavily spammed. Search for “Chicken Road Nigeria”, “Chicken Road Kenya” or “Chicken Road Ghana” and you’ll find dozens of look-alike sites, hacked pages and “predictor” apps. This review explains how the game really works, what the numbers mean and where conflicting figures come from, then shows which locally licensed casinos in Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana we found offering Chicken Road or a close variant. Every fact was checked in October 2026.

📌 Key takeaways

  • Chicken Road is made by InOut Games, with a listed RTP of 98% and four difficulty levels, from Easy (24 steps) to Hardcore (15 steps), according to SlotCatalog.
  • Sources disagree on the maximum win. SlotCatalog lists 2,542,251x in one place and 3,303,384.8x in another, and says the golden egg pays up to €20,000. Casinos can also set their own caps.
  • Availability at licensed sites is patchy. We found reports of Chicken Road at Paripesa and 1xBet in Nigeria, and at 1xBet and 22Bet in Kenya. In Ghana, MSport offers a similar game called Chicken Route.
  • Watch for different versions. Some sites run games with the same name but different rules, such as a trap-count version described by TopBets Kenya.
  • No strategy beats the house edge, and “Chicken Road predictors” and APKs from Telegram are scams.

⚠️ Our key finding: Chicken Road is promoted far more widely than it’s actually offered by locally licensed casinos. Most “where to play” pages we found push brands that aren’t licensed in Nigeria, Kenya or Ghana. Below we only list licensed casinos, and we tell you how strong the evidence is for each one.

🐔 What is the Chicken Road game?

Chicken Road is a casino game by InOut Games in which you guide a chicken across a busy road. Each lane it crosses safely raises your multiplier, and you can cash out after any step. If the chicken is caught before you cash out, you lose the stake. SlotCatalog classes it as a “step multiplier” game: a cousin of crash games such as Aviator, but you decide when to take each step instead of watching a multiplier climb on its own.

The theme is simple: a cartoon chicken, manhole covers, fire and gold coins, with a golden egg at the end of the road. There are no reels, paylines, free spins or bonus rounds. That simplicity is a big part of its appeal. InOut’s chief executive, Vladislav Snak, said in a sponsored SiGMA article in October 2025 that the game “became a global sensation because of its simplicity, thrill, and universal appeal”.

Be careful with what you read elsewhere. One hacked page we found described Chicken Road as a five-reel slot with 20 paylines, a 96.07% RTP and free spins, none of which matches the real game. That’s typical of the misinformation around it.

🎮 How to play Chicken Road, step by step

  1. Open the game in a licensed casino’s lobby, or try the free demo first.
  2. Set your stake in the bet panel.
  3. Choose a difficulty level: Easy, Medium, Hard or Hardcore. Harder levels have fewer steps, bigger multipliers and a higher chance of losing.
  4. Press Play to start the round, then Go to move the chicken one lane forward.
  5. After each safe step, your multiplier rises. Decide whether to take another step or cash out.
  6. Cash out to collect your stake times the current multiplier, or keep going towards the golden egg.
  7. If the chicken is caught before you cash out, the round ends and you lose that stake.

Unlike Aviator, nothing moves until you press the button, so there’s no split-second reaction needed. The risk comes from greed: every extra step can wipe out the round.

🎚️ Chicken Road difficulty levels explained

The difficulty level is the most important decision you make. SlotCatalog describes the four levels like this:

LevelSteps (manhole covers)Chance of losingMultipliers
Easy241 in 251.02x to 24.5x
Medium223 in 25Not stated by SlotCatalog
Hard205 in 25Not stated by SlotCatalog
Hardcore1510 in 251.65x to 3,303,384.8x

A promotional Nigerian page about Paripesa gives different ranges: Easy 1.03x to 19.44x, Medium up to 1,788.80x, Hard up to 41,321.43x, and Hardcore up to 2,542,251.93x or 3,203,384.80x (the page gives both). Casinos can run different configurations, so always check the multiplier table inside the game before you play.

What doesn’t change is the shape: on Easy, the first step is very likely to succeed and pays only a little; on Hardcore, the first step is far riskier but pays about 1.65x straight away. The deeper you go on any level, the bigger the multiplier and the more likely the round ends with nothing.

📉 Chicken Road RTP: what 98% means

SlotCatalog and InOut list Chicken Road’s RTP at 98%, above Aviator’s 97%. Over a very large number of rounds, the game is designed to pay back about 98 of every 100 staked, a house edge of about 2%.

Total stakedExpected return at 98%Expected cost
₦10,000₦9,800₦200
KES 1,000KES 980KES 20
GHS 100GHS 98GHS 2

Two cautions. First, these are long-run averages; a single session can swing far above or below them, especially on Hard and Hardcore. Second, InOut’s later games in the series are listed at lower RTPs: SlotCatalog gives 95.5% for both Chicken Road 2.0 and Chicken Road Race. Make sure you know which game you’ve opened.

💰 Chicken Road maximum win

This is where sources disagree most. SlotCatalog’s attributes list a maximum win of 2,542,251x, its review mentions Hardcore prizes up to 3,303,384.8x, and it also says the golden egg pays up to €20,000. A Nigerian promotional page gives both 2,542,251.93x and 3,203,384.80x for Hardcore. For InOut’s Chicken Road Race, SlotCatalog says payouts are capped at $20,000 whatever the multiplier.

The practical answer: the multiplier can be enormous on Hardcore, but your cash win is limited by the game’s payout cap and by your casino’s own maximum win and withdrawal limits. Check both in the game rules and the casino’s terms before you chase the golden egg.

SlotCatalog doesn’t mention a provably fair system for the original Chicken Road, although it describes InOut’s Chicken Road Race as provably fair and says several InOut games use one. If fairness checks matter to you, look in the game’s menu for a “provably fair” or bet-verification option.

🆓 Chicken Road demo: play free first

SlotCatalog hosts a free Chicken Road demo behind an 18+ age check, and a promotional page about Paripesa Nigeria says the game is available there in demo mode as well as for real money. TopBets Kenya also advises using a casino’s “play for fun” mode before staking real money.

Use the demo to try all four difficulty levels and to see how often the chicken gets caught at each. A good demo run is still luck, not a strategy. A real demo never asks for a deposit, your mobile money PIN or an APK download.

🌍 Where to play Chicken Road legally: how we checked

We started from each country’s regulator, not from “Chicken Road casino” lists. A casino only appears below if it holds a local licence covering casino games, and if at least one source reported Chicken Road, or a close variant, in its local lobby:

  • Nigeria: an Online Sports Betting/Online Casino licence on the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) register.
  • Kenya: a casino (PG) licence stated by the operator, as listed by Paybillke; the Gambling Regulatory Authority doesn’t publish a searchable register.
  • Ghana: an Online Casino entry on the Gaming Commission of Ghana’s 2026 register.

The evidence is thinner than for Aviator. No major news outlet or operator press release we found confirmed Chicken Road at a licensed casino in these three countries, so we rely on review sites and, in one case, the operator’s own help centre. We show the source for each one. Before you deposit, search the casino’s lobby for “Chicken Road” and check that the provider is InOut Games.

🐔 Chicken Road: demo and real money (Nigerian Bulletin)
🎰 Games: 6,000+, incl. Aviator, JetX, dice, Plinko
💳 Min. deposit: ₦100 on every listed method

Overview and licence

Paripesa holds a Lagos Online Sports Betting/Online Casino licence through Mediamart Entertainment Limited, valid to April 2027. Soccernet counts more than 6,000 games, including 5,000+ slots from 100+ providers.

🐔 Chicken Road at Paripesa

A June 2026 page on Nigerian Bulletin says Chicken Road by InOut Games is available at Paripesa Nigeria in demo mode and for real money, with stakes from the naira equivalent of $0.01. The page is clearly promotional, with links to Paripesa and no named testing lab behind its “certified” claim, so treat it as a lead, not proof. Search the lobby for the game and check the provider before depositing.

🎁 Bonuses

The bonus figures don’t match. Soccernet’s October 2026 guide lists a casino package of up to ₦2,500,000 plus 150 free spins from ₦17,000, with 35x wagering in 7 days, while the Nigerian Bulletin page describes 100% up to ₦100,000 plus 150 free spins. Read the offer on Paripesa’s site. Paripesa also runs free Aviator bets on qualifying Friday deposits.

💳 Payments

Every deposit method Soccernet lists starts at ₦100, including cards, PalmPay and bank transfer. Bank withdrawals start at ₦100 and take one to three business days; PalmPay withdrawals start at ₦1,000 and arrive within 24 hours.

✅ Pros

  • ✅ Lagos licence to April 2027

🎁 Casino package: up to ₦2,550,000 + 150 Aviator free spins
💳 Min. deposit: ₦100 by card, OPay, PalmPay or USSD

Overview and licence

1xBet’s Lagos licence covers 1xbet.ng only, not the global 1xbet.com site, so register on the Nigerian domain. Soccernet counts more than 10,000 games, plus 1xBet’s own 1xGames instant titles.

🐔 Chicken Road at 1xBet

Many review sites say 1xBet carries a game called Chicken Road in its 1xGames or Turbo sections. Be aware that TopBets Kenya describes 1xBet’s version with a choice of “1 or 3” traps rather than InOut’s four difficulty levels, so 1xBet may run a different game under a similar name. Check the provider and rules inside the game.

🎁 Bonuses and payments

The casino package is up to ₦2,550,000 plus 150 free spins on Aviator, from a ₦17,000 deposit, with 35x wagering in 7 days. Deposits start at ₦100 by card, OPay, PalmPay or USSD, and withdrawals at ₦550. Support runs 24/7 in English and Pidgin.

🇰🇪 Best Chicken Road casinos in Kenya

Kenya taxes players twice: 5% excise duty comes off every deposit and 5% withholding tax off every withdrawal, under the Finance Act 2026, according to Afriwise. The Gambling Control Act also sets a KES 20 minimum online stake, according to CM Advocates, although TopBets Kenya says most sites accept Chicken Road bets from KES 10. Check the minimum in the game.

🐔 Chicken Road: in 1xGames/Turbo sections (TopBets Kenya)
🎁 Promo: Friday “Happy Hour” cash offer (TopBets Kenya)
💳 Payments: M-Pesa paybill and Airtel Money

Overview and licence

1xBet operates in Kenya through Advanced Gaming, which states betting (BK 0001232) and casino (PG 0001233) licence numbers. The GRA doesn’t publish a searchable register, so if you’re unsure, call the GRA on 0800 723 770.

🐔 Chicken Road at 1xBet Kenya

TopBets Kenya’s June 2026 guide names 1xBet as a Kenyan site with Chicken Road in its 1xGames or Turbo sections, and mentions a Friday “Happy Hour” cash offer. Its description of the game, with a choice of one or three traps, doesn’t match InOut’s four difficulty levels, so you may find a different version. Look at the provider and the rules screen.

💳 Payments and tax

You can deposit with M-Pesa through 1xBet’s paybill, or with Airtel Money. Remember that 5% excise comes off each deposit and 5% withholding tax off each withdrawal.

✅ Pros

  • ✅ Stated Kenyan casino licence
  • ✅ Chicken Road named by a Kenyan review site
  • ✅ M-Pesa and Airtel Money

⚠️ Cons

  • ⚠️ Version may differ from InOut’s
  • ⚠️ No searchable GRA register to confirm
Best for: Kenyan players who want Chicken Road-style games with M-Pesa.

2. 22Bet Kenya: a big casino with a Kenyan licence

★★★★7.9/10

🐔 Chicken Road: listed by Betting.or.ke
🎁 Casino offer: KES 60,000 + 60 FS, 35x (ChampsBase)

Overview and licence

22Bet operates in Kenya through Nuntis Holdings, which stated betting and casino licence numbers for 2025/26. Check for a 2026 renewal statement on 22Bet’s Kenyan site.

🐔 Chicken Road at 22Bet

Betting.or.ke lists 22Bet among the sites offering Chicken Road. That page also lists brands that aren’t licensed in Kenya and names other providers, so it’s weak evidence. Search 22Bet’s lobby for the game before depositing.

🎁 Bonuses and payments

ChampsBase reported a casino welcome of up to KES 60,000 plus 60 free spins with 35x wagering and a KES 750 cap. Payments run through M-Pesa, and support is available by phone (+254 706557811), WhatsApp, email and live chat.

🇬🇭 Best Chicken Road-style casino in Ghana

We didn’t find a reliable source confirming InOut’s Chicken Road at any casino with an Online Casino entry on Ghana’s 2026 register. What we did find is a very similar game at MSport.

1. MSport Ghana: Chicken Route

★★★★8.0/10
🛡️ Licence: GCG sports betting and Online Casino entries, to 31 Dec 2026
🐔 Game: Chicken Route, four modes up to 1,000,000x
💰 Stakes: GH₵0.50 to GH₵1,000
💳 Deposits: from GHS 1 by mobile money

Overview and licence

MSport holds sports betting and Online Casino entries on the GCG’s 2026 register. Blask ranked it third in its August 2026 table of Ghanaian brands, behind SportyBet and Betway, and it has partnerships with Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.

🐔 Chicken Route at MSport

MSport’s own help centre describes Chicken Route, a crash-style game in which you guide a chicken across a road one lane at a time. The help page doesn’t name a provider, and it isn’t InOut’s Chicken Road, but it works the same way:

ModeStepsMultipliers
Easy241.03x to 24x
Medium221.12x to 2,500x
Hard201.23x to 65,000x
Mad181.63x to 1,000,000x

Stakes run from GH₵0.50 to GH₵1,000. The menu includes your bet history with verification hashes, limits and rules, and the page mentions a maximum profit limit without giving the amount. Ghana has no tax on winnings since April 2025.

✅ Pros

  • ✅ GCG Online Casino entry
  • ✅ Rules published by the operator
  • ✅ Stakes from GH₵0.50
  • ✅ Bet verification hashes

⚠️ Cons

  • ⚠️ Not InOut’s Chicken Road
  • ⚠️ RTP and provider not stated
  • ⚠️ Maximum profit limit not specified
Best for: Ghanaian players who want a Chicken Road-style game at a licensed casino.
Visit MSport Ghana 18+ | T&Cs apply | Gamble responsibly

1xBet also holds an Online Casino entry in Ghana and has a large instant-games section, but we found no Ghana-specific source confirming Chicken Road there. If you play at 1xBet Ghana, search its lobby and check the provider.

Chicken Road suits players who dislike the time pressure of Aviator, because nothing happens until you press the button. Its slightly higher listed RTP is a plus, but the difference between 98% and 97% is small next to the swings on Hard and Hardcore. SmartSoft Gaming’s JetX, available at Paripesa and Odibets, is another alternative, listed at 97% RTP with a jackpot feature by SiGMA.

🪞 Chicken Road clones and look-alikes

Chicken Road’s success has spawned many similar games and many fake pages. Here’s what we found:

  • Operator versions. MSport Ghana’s Chicken Route has a “Mad” mode with 18 steps instead of InOut’s 15-step Hardcore, and different multipliers. TopBets Kenya describes a 1xBet version where you pick one or three traps. Same idea, different maths.
  • InOut’s own sequels. Chicken Road 2.0 and Chicken Road Race have lower listed RTPs (95.5%) than the original’s 98%.
  • Fake “official” sites. Dozens of domains built around “chicken road” plus a country code present themselves as the game’s home and push unlicensed casinos.
  • Hacked pages. Pages on unrelated university, council and company websites carry Chicken Road “reviews” with wrong specs, such as a five-reel slot with 96.07% RTP.

The fix is simple: open the game inside a licensed casino, and check the provider name and the rules screen before your first bet.

🚨 Chicken Road scams to avoid

  • “Chicken Road predictor” apps that claim to know where the chicken will be caught. No app can see the next result.
  • APK downloads from Telegram or unknown sites. TopBets Kenya notes that Chicken Road isn’t a standalone Google Play app; the game runs inside casino sites and apps. Install only a licensed casino’s own app.
  • Signal groups selling “safe steps” or “patterns”.
  • Sites asking for a fee to release winnings. TopBets Kenya calls this a clear scam sign.
  • Unlicensed casinos using Chicken Road as bait, including some named on Lagos’s illegal lists.

🧠 Chicken Road strategy: what works and what doesn’t

ApproachReality
Play Easy and cash out after a few stepsFrequent small wins; the house edge still applies
Chase the golden egg on HardcoreHuge multipliers, but most rounds end with nothing
Decide your cash-out step before the roundStops “one more step” decisions
Doubling after a lossA losing streak eventually outlasts your budget
Looking for patterns in where the chicken gets caughtEach round is independent
Using predictorsA scam
Fixed stake and stop pointThe only approach that protects your money

🧮 A sample Chicken Road session budget

Set your budget before you open the game. For example, with ₦5,000, KES 500 or GHS 50 and a fixed stake of 2% (₦100, KES 10 or GHS 1):

  • That’s 50 rounds if you lose every one.
  • At a 98% RTP, the expected cost of 50 rounds of ₦100 is about ₦100, but a single session can end far higher or lower, especially on Hard or Hardcore.
  • Decide your stop points, for example half your budget lost or your budget doubled.
  • In Kenya, check the minimum stake: the Gambling Control Act sets KES 20 for online bets, according to CM Advocates.

🛡️ How to check a Chicken Road casino’s licence

CountryRegulatorWhat to look for
🇳🇬 NigeriaLagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA)The company name, an Online Sports Betting/Online Casino or Online Casino category, and an expiry date that hasn’t passed
🇰🇪 KenyaGambling Regulatory Authority (GRA)A PG (casino) licence statement on the site; call 0800 723 770 if unsure

Then check the game itself: the provider should be InOut Games if you want the original Chicken Road, and the rules screen should show the difficulty levels and multipliers.

🚩 Common Chicken Road mistakes

  • Starting on Hardcore because of the headline multiplier.
  • Taking “one more step” after deciding to cash out.
  • Assuming every “Chicken Road” is the same game. Rules, RTP and caps differ between versions.
  • Ignoring the maximum win cap when chasing the golden egg.
  • Playing at unlicensed sites because they advertise the game.
  • Forgetting tax: 5% in Nigeria, and 5% on both deposits and withdrawals in Kenya.

📱 Playing Chicken Road on your phone

SlotCatalog says Chicken Road runs on HTML5 at just 5.2 MB, so it loads quickly in a phone browser and works on computers too. Because you control every step, a slow connection is less of a risk than in Aviator, but wait for each step to finish before pressing again. Play inside the licensed casino’s own app or mobile site, and don’t install standalone “Chicken Road” APKs.

🔢 Worked examples in naira, shillings and cedis

Here’s what the first step pays on different levels, using the multipliers SlotCatalog and MSport publish. Later steps pay more, but each one is another chance to lose the whole stake.

Game and levelStakeFirst-step multiplierCash out after step 1
Chicken Road, Easy₦5001.02x₦510
Chicken Road, Hardcore₦5001.65x₦825
Chicken Road, EasyKES 501.02xKES 51
Chicken Road, HardcoreKES 501.65xKES 82.50
Chicken Route (MSport), MediumGH₵51.12xGH₵5.60
Chicken Route (MSport), MadGH₵51.63xGH₵8.15

The pattern is clear. On Easy, one step barely moves the needle, so most players go several steps deep. On Hardcore or Mad, a single step already pays well, but SlotCatalog puts the chance of losing on Hardcore at 10 in 25, against 1 in 25 on Easy. Remember the taxes too: in Nigeria 5% comes off net winnings, and in Kenya 5% comes off each deposit and each withdrawal.

👥 Who Chicken Road suits, and who it doesn’t

Good fitPoor fit
Players who dislike the time pressure of AviatorPlayers who struggle to stop once they’re winning
Beginners who want simple rules and a free demoAnyone hoping for a “system” to win
Players who like choosing their own risk levelPlayers chasing the headline multiplier with money they need
Short sessions on a phoneLong sessions without a budget or time limit

The game’s biggest danger is psychological: because you decide every step, it can feel like skill. It isn’t. Each step’s outcome is random, and the game is built to return slightly less than you stake over time.

🏢 InOut Games: the studio behind it

InOut Games is a B2B game provider. SlotCatalog’s FAQ says it operates under a Curaçao licence and uses certified RNG technology, and that several of its games include provably fair systems. Details about the company are inconsistent: SlotCatalog’s attributes give a founding year of 2021, while its review text says the studio “entered the market in 2024”; SlotCatalog lists 89 games, while a sponsored SiGMA article from October 2025 said the portfolio had 34.

That SiGMA article named Vladislav Snak as chief executive and announced Chicken Royal, InOut’s first slot, inspired by Chicken Road. It also pitched InOut’s games to operators and affiliates as having “short betting cycles, high retention, and high lifetime value”, which tells you how the games are designed to perform for the business.

We found no InOut press release announcing launches with Nigerian, Kenyan or Ghanaian operators. That’s one reason availability at licensed local casinos is hard to confirm.

📣 Why the game is promoted so heavily

If you’ve seen Chicken Road ads everywhere, there’s a reason. An affiliate case study published by AffPapa in July 2025 described how one partner, 4RA Partner, brought the game to India and found casual traffic costs two to three times lower than for its usual funnels, with purchase volumes growing about 50% almost every month as budgets increased. Cheap, effective traffic attracts marketers, and marketers attract spam: look-alike domains, hacked pages and fake “official” sites.

None of that makes the game itself a scam. It does mean you should ignore where the ads send you and go to a casino licensed in your own country, then look for the game there.

🧘 Responsible gambling

Chicken Road rounds are quick, and the “one more step” feeling makes it easy to stay longer than you meant to. Set a budget and a time limit before you play, use deposit limits, and stop when you reach either.

Warning signs

  • Chasing losses or raising stakes to win money back.

🏁 Final verdict: is Chicken Road worth playing?

Chicken Road is a well-designed, easy-to-learn game with a high listed RTP of 98% and a risk level you choose yourself. Its weaknesses are outside the game: conflicting figures for the maximum win, many versions with different rules, a flood of fake sites, and patchy availability at locally licensed casinos.

If you want to play, try the free demo first, then look for it at a licensed casino: Paripesa or 1xBet in Nigeria, 1xBet or 22Bet in Kenya, or try MSport’s Chicken Route in Ghana. Start on Easy, set a cash-out step before each round and never chase the golden egg with money you can’t afford to lose.
