Minimum Deposit Casinos in Kenya (2026): Play from KES 10 to KES 50
Looking for minimum deposit casinos in Kenya? Several licensed Kenyan sites let you top up with as little as KES 1 to KES 50 by M-Pesa, and play Aviator, slots and other casino games from a few shillings. That makes them a cheap way to try a casino, as long as you know what comes off your deposit and what you need before you can withdraw.
This guide compares the casinos with the lowest minimums that hold a Kenyan public gaming (“PG”) licence, the licence that covers casino-style games. You’ll also find how Kenya’s 5% excise affects a KES 10 deposit, why the law’s KES 20 minimum stake matters, M-Pesa’s fees on small paybill payments, and how to get a small win back to your phone.

📌 Key takeaways
Lowest deposit: SportyBet, from KES 1 per transaction according to its help page, with Aviator and its own Sporty Jet crash game.
Odibets is listed from KES 1 on one Paybillke page and “typically KES 50” on another, with Aviator and withdrawals from KES 100.
SportPesa takes deposits from about KES 49–50 and holds a 2026 casino licence, GRAK/2026/PG056841.
5% excise comes off every deposit: a KES 50 deposit leaves KES 47.50 to play with.
The Gambling Control Act sets a KES 20 minimum online stake, so a deposit below about KES 22 may not cover one bet.
Paying a paybill from M-Pesa is free for KES 50–100 under every Safaricom paybill tariff, Paybillke reports.

🧪 How we ranked minimum deposit casinos
Every casino had to pass three tests:
A Kenyan casino licence. The operator states a public gaming (“PG”) licence on its Kenyan site, the category that covers casino-style games. In 2026, SportPesa’s site shows a GRA casino licence; the others still show 2025/26 numbers.
A minimum deposit of KES 50 or less, confirmed by at least one reliable source.

⚖️ Are minimum deposit casinos legal in Kenya?
Yes, at licensed operators. The Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) replaced the old Betting Control and Licensing Board under the Gambling Control Act 2025, and began its first licensing cycle under new regulations in July 2026. The Act requires operators to verify players’ identity, offer deposit, loss and session limits, and pay winnings within two days. It also bans credit cards and cryptocurrency for gambling, which is why M-Pesa is the standard way to pay.
The GRA doesn’t publish a searchable list of licensed operators, Paybillke found on 19 October 2026. Look for the licence statement at the bottom of the casino’s Kenyan site: it should name the company, the regulator, and BK (bookmaking) and PG (public gaming) numbers. Several operators’ footers still cite the BCLB; Paybillke notes that this isn’t proof of being unlicensed on its own, but that it hasn’t seen the GRA confirm those licences carry over.
⚠️ Tiny minimums are also used by unlicensed sites. In 2025, Kenyan investigators said unlicensed crash-game sites took deposits by paybill or STK push and then withheld payouts. If a site shows no licence statement at all, don’t deposit, even KES 10.
🧮 What a KES 10–50 deposit really gives you
Two rules shape every small deposit in Kenya: a 5% excise duty on the amount you deposit, and the Gambling Control Act’s KES 20 minimum online stake, as described by law firm CM Advocates.

In practice, some operators still list lower stakes: ChampsBase recorded Odibets stakes from KES 1 in August 2026. Check the minimum stake in the game or bet slip you plan to use. If it’s KES 20, a deposit of at least KES 22 is the practical floor.
The excise also makes repeated small deposits expensive over time. Ten deposits of KES 50 lose KES 25 in excise, exactly the same as one KES 500 deposit, but they are much easier to make on impulse. And if you then withdraw, 5% comes off again. For example, KES 500 deposited and withdrawn without playing comes back as about KES 451. Deciding your total budget before you start, and depositing it in one go, keeps both the tax and the temptation under control.
🔎 Reviews of the best minimum deposit casinos in Kenya
Each review covers the licence statement, deposit and withdrawal minimums, M-Pesa details, the casino games and the catches for small-budget players. Payment details come from Paybillke, ChampsBase and our earlier Kenyan brand research.
💳 Deposits: KES 1 to KES 250,000 per transaction, paybill 590555
⏱️ Speed: deposits in under 30 seconds; withdrawals under 10 minutes when verified
🔒 Unverified cap: KES 5,000 a day in withdrawals
Why it suits small budgets
SportyBet’s help page sets the minimum deposit at KES 1 per transaction, according to Paybillke’s check on 19 October 2026, the lowest we found. SportyBet adds no deposit fee of its own; the 5% excise and Safaricom’s standard paybill tariff still apply.
📲 How to deposit
In M-Pesa, choose Lipa na M-Pesa, then Pay Bill, enter business number 590555, use your SportyBet-registered phone number as the account number, enter the amount and your PIN. You can also start the deposit in the app and approve the STK prompt.
🎰 Casino games
SportyBet’s casino includes Aviator and its own crash game, Sporty Jet, alongside slots. In Nigeria, ChampsBase found no published RTPs for SportyBet’s casino games, so treat them as entertainment with a fixed budget.
💸 Withdrawals
Verified players’ withdrawals usually arrive in under 10 minutes, Paybillke reports, but unverified accounts are capped at KES 5,000 a day. Verify early, even if you’re only playing with small amounts.
📱 App and support
Paybillke describes an Android app on Google Play and web access for iPhone users. WhatsApp support is on +254 700 200 200.
✅ Pros
✅ KES 1 minimum deposit
✅ Fast M-Pesa deposits and payouts
✅ Aviator and Sporty Jet
⚠️ Cons
⚠️ Footer still cites the BCLB
⚠️ KES 5,000/day cap until verified
⚠️ No published RTPs
Best for: players who want to start with the smallest possible M-Pesa deposit.
💳 Min. deposit: KES 1 (Paybillke Odibets page) or typically KES 50 (Paybillke deposit guide)
💸 Min. withdrawal: KES 100
⏱️ Tested payouts: 1 min 12 s, 1 min 58 s, 7 min 43 s (ChampsBase)
Why it suits small budgets
Odibets is built for small stakes. ChampsBase recorded stakes from KES 1 in August 2026, and its withdrawal minimum of KES 100 is one of the lowest among Kenyan brands. Paybillke’s two pages disagree on the deposit minimum: its Odibets page (June 2026) lists KES 1, while its deposit guide says “typically KES 50 platform-side”, with KES 10 as the M-Pesa floor. The deposit screen shows the current figure.
📲 How to deposit
Pay Bill to 290680, with your Odibets-registered number as the account. Odibets is M-Pesa only. If the STK prompt doesn’t arrive within 30 seconds, Paybillke suggests using the manual paybill rather than retrying the prompt. Copy the number carefully: Paybillke lists 290681 and 290608 as scam variants.
🎰 Casino games
Odibets runs Aviator, including Aviator missions it launched in February 2026, alongside its OdiLeague virtual football. ChampsBase found no published RTPs.
💸 Withdrawals
In ChampsBase’s test, two of three M-Pesa payouts arrived in under two minutes. KYC must be completed before your first withdrawal and takes 24 to 48 hours, according to Paybillke, so verify straight after registering.
⚠️ Watch out for
ChampsBase notes an inactivity charge on dormant accounts, and found that Odibets’ cashback and refunds only become withdrawable after a six-leg accumulator with every leg at 2.50 or more.
✅ Pros
✅ Stakes from KES 1
✅ KES 100 minimum withdrawal
✅ Payouts in about two minutes in testing
⚠️ Cons
⚠️ M-Pesa only
⚠️ Minimum deposit sources disagree
⚠️ Inactivity charge
Best for: value hunters who want to play and withdraw in small amounts.
3. SportPesa: KES 49 deposits and a 2026 casino licence
★★★★☆8.3/10
🛡️ Licence: GRAK/2026/BK185751 (betting); GRAK/2026/PG056841 (casino, Standard Global East Africa)
💳 Deposits: from KES 49 to KES 70,000 per M-Pesa transaction; paybill 955100
💸 Min. withdrawal: KES 200
📲 SMS: DEPOSIT#amount or WITHDRAW#amount to 79079
Why it suits small budgets
SportPesa has the clearest 2026 licence disclosure of the big Kenyan brands, including a casino licence. Paybillke lists a KES 49 minimum deposit on its SportPesa page and “typically KES 50” in its deposit guide, so budget KES 50. The catch is the KES 200 minimum withdrawal: you’ll need to grow a small deposit before you can cash out.
📲 How to deposit
Pay Bill to 955100 with your registered number as the account, or send DEPOSIT#amount to 79079 from your registered line and confirm the M-Pesa prompt. Check that the recipient shows as “SPORTPESA KENYA” before you enter your PIN.
🎰 Casino games
SportPesa’s casino section includes Aviator. Its famous Mega Jackpot also starts from KES 99, if you mix casino play with jackpot predictions.
🛡️ Tools
You can set daily, weekly or monthly deposit limits, with a 24 to 72 hour cooling-off before increases, and self-exclude.
✅ Pros
✅ 2026 GRA casino licence shown
✅ SMS deposits and withdrawals on any phone
✅ Deposits from about KES 50
⚠️ Cons
⚠️ KES 200 minimum withdrawal
⚠️ Not as low as KES 1 brands
Best for: players who want the clearest licence and SMS access on a basic phone.
4. Betika: Kenya’s best-known brand, low but unclear minimums
★★★★☆8.0/10
🛡️ Licence: GRA, BK-0001117 / PG-0001113 (as stated on its site)
💳 Min. deposit: KES 10 or KES 50 (sources disagree); paybill 290290
💸 Min. withdrawal: KES 50 or KES 200 (sources disagree)
⏱️ Speed: deposits 1–5 minutes; withdrawals usually within 30 minutes
Why it suits small budgets
Betika’s minimums are low, but sources disagree on the exact figures: KES 10 or KES 50 to deposit, and KES 50 or KES 200 to withdraw. Paybillke’s Betika page (September 2026) only says it’s “a low set amount” and to confirm in the app. Check the deposit screen before you pay.
📲 How to deposit
Pay Bill to 290290 with your registered number (or “BETIKA”) as the account. Check that the confirmation shows “BETIKA KENYA” before you enter your PIN. Betika doesn’t add its own fee; Safaricom’s paybill tariff applies.
🎰 Casino games
Betika’s casino includes Aviator. Free bets need odds of 4.99 or more, expire after 24 hours and can’t be withdrawn as cash, according to The Game Haus.
🛡️ Tools and record
You can set deposit limits with a 24 to 72 hour cooling-off before increases. In October 2025, Kenya’s data protection commissioner ordered Betika to pay KES 250,000 in compensation after finding its demand for M-Pesa statements excessive.
✅ Pros
✅ Possibly KES 10 deposits
✅ Fast M-Pesa payouts
✅ Long track record
⚠️ Cons
⚠️ Minimums unclear between sources
⚠️ Strict free bet rules
Best for: players who want a familiar local brand and low entry amounts.

🧾 What a small deposit costs: M-Pesa and tax
Safaricom paybill charges
Who pays the paybill charge depends on the tariff the business chooses with Safaricom. For small amounts, though, the answer is simple: Paybillke’s October 2026 table, from Safaricom’s paybill standard tariff, shows KES 0 for KES 50–100 under every tariff.

Paybillke’s table doesn’t cover KES 1–49. The operators in our ranking don’t add a deposit fee of their own, but Safaricom’s tariff applies, so check the amount shown on your phone before entering your PIN. If you’re unsure, a KES 50 deposit sits in the free band.
Airtel Money
SportPesa and Betika also accept Airtel Money through *334#. Paying a paybill from Airtel costs KES 7 for KES 101–500, according to Paybillke; we couldn’t find the fee for amounts of KES 100 or less.
Tax
5% excise on every deposit: KES 50 becomes KES 47.50.
5% withholding tax on every withdrawal: a KES 200 withdrawal arrives as KES 190.
Law firm analysis by Afriwise of the Finance Act 2026, in force from 1 July 2026, confirms that betting and gaming payouts fall under the “withdrawals” definition taxed at 5%, while the 20% withholding rate applies to lottery and prize competition winnings. Paybillke’s directory describes a 20% tax on winnings, so check the deductions shown in your account.
📲 How to make a small casino deposit with M-Pesa
Option 1: the STK prompt
Log in to the casino’s official Kenyan site or app.
Tap Deposit, enter the amount (for example KES 50) and confirm.
Approve the pop-up on your phone with your M-Pesa PIN.
Check the SMS and your casino balance; deposits typically reflect in 1 to 5 minutes, Paybillke says.
Option 2: manual paybill
Open M-Pesa and choose Lipa na M-Pesa, then Pay Bill.
Enter the business number exactly as shown on the casino’s own site (590555, 290680, 955100 or 290290).
Enter your registered phone number as the account number.
Enter the amount, check the recipient name, and confirm with your PIN.
Option 3: SMS (SportPesa)
Send DEPOSIT#amount to 79079 from your registered line and approve the M-Pesa prompt. This works on any phone, without data.
ℹ️ Don’t retry an STK prompt that hasn’t arrived. Paybillke advises switching to the manual paybill after 30 seconds instead, so you don’t pay twice.
💸 Getting a small win back to M-Pesa
Minimum withdrawals are where small budgets get stuck. The minimum to cash out ranges from KES 50 to KES 200 at the brands we checked, which is several times their minimum deposit:
Casino
Min. withdrawal
After 5% tax
Betika
KES 50 or 200 (sources disagree)
KES 47.50 or 190
Odibets
KES 100
KES 95
SportPesa
KES 200
KES 190
Withdrawals go to the M-Pesa line registered on your account. Verify your ID first: Odibets’ KYC takes 24 to 48 hours, according to Paybillke, and SportyBet limits unverified accounts to KES 5,000 a day.
Cashing out at an agent
Receiving the casino’s payment is free, but withdrawing cash isn’t. Safaricom charges KES 11 to withdraw KES 50–100 at an agent and KES 29 for KES 101–2,500, Paybillke reports, and agents don’t accept withdrawals below KES 50. For small wins, leaving the money in M-Pesa and spending it directly is cheaper.
Withdrawing by SMS
At SportPesa, send WITHDRAW#amount to 79079 from your registered line, with no spaces.
🎰 Best casino games for a KES 10–50 budget
Aviator and other crash games: available at all four ranked brands, plus SportyBet’s own Sporty Jet. Rounds last seconds, so a KES 50 balance can go quickly.
Slots: look for titles with the smallest spin size in the game’s settings.
Virtuals: Odibets’ OdiLeague virtual football is quick to play.
Before you play, check the minimum stake. The Gambling Control Act sets KES 20 as the minimum online stake, although ChampsBase recorded KES 1 stakes at Odibets. If your game’s minimum is KES 20, a KES 50 deposit (KES 47.50 after excise) covers two rounds.
⚠️ Every casino game has a house edge, and results are random. Kenya’s 2026 regulations require online casino operators to use licensed suppliers with RNG certificates from accredited labs, Techweez reported, but many sites still don’t publish RTPs. No app or “predictor” can tell you when Aviator will crash; those apps are scams.
🎁 Bonuses and small deposits
Most Kenyan welcome offers need more than KES 50, and many are sports-only. What we found for small-budget players:
Betika: no standard welcome bonus in October 2026, according to The Game Haus, but free bets and a daily first-deposit bonus; free bets need odds of 4.99+ and expire after 24 hours.
Odibets: a KES 30 free bet and 5% weekly cashback up to KES 500, but cashback only becomes withdrawable after a six-leg accumulator at 2.50+ per leg, ChampsBase found.
22Bet: a 100% welcome bonus up to KES 19,000 that needs at least KES 150.
SportyBet: its Multi Bet Bonus of up to 1,000% applies to accumulators.
With KES 10 to 50, it’s usually best to skip bonuses and play with your own money, so any win stays free to withdraw.
🧮 Sample budgets
KES 10: test the deposit
At SportyBet (KES 1 minimum), a KES 10 deposit lands as KES 9.50 and tests the paybill and STK prompt. It’s below a KES 20 stake, so treat it as a check that payments work.
KES 25: one or two rounds
KES 25 becomes KES 23.75 after excise: enough for one KES 20 stake, or several smaller ones where the game allows.
KES 50: the practical minimum
KES 50 sits in Safaricom’s free paybill band and leaves KES 47.50 to play: two KES 20 stakes, or many more at KES 1 stakes where offered. If you win, remember that you’ll need KES 100 at Odibets or KES 200 at SportPesa to withdraw.
🛠️ Small deposit problems and fixes
Problem
What to do
Deposit rejected as too small
Check the casino’s current minimum on its deposit screen; it may be KES 50 rather than KES 1 or 10
Balance lower than you sent
The 5% excise was deducted; KES 50 becomes KES 47.50
Can’t place a bet
Your balance may be below the KES 20 minimum stake

Use the manual paybill after 30 seconds instead of retrying the prompt
Paid, but balance hasn’t updated
Wait 5 minutes, then contact support with your M-Pesa transaction code
Can’t withdraw a small win
Check the minimum withdrawal (KES 50–200) and complete verification
Wrong paybill
Forward the M-Pesa confirmation SMS to 456 within minutes, or dial *456#, as Paybillke advises
🤔 Why minimum deposit figures differ between sources
You’ll notice that we quote two figures for Odibets and Betika. That’s not carelessness: published minimums genuinely vary, for three reasons.
Operators change them. Paybillke’s Betika page advises confirming the “low set amount” in the app, because operators adjust minimums.
Platform minimum vs M-Pesa floor. Paybillke’s guides distinguish the casino’s own minimum (often KES 50) from the M-Pesa floor of KES 10.
Different pages, different dates. A page checked in June may not match one checked in October.
The deposit screen in your logged-in account is always the final word. If it says KES 50, a KES 10 paybill payment may not be credited as you expect, so check before you send.
📱 Apps and data for small-budget players
Odibets: a 34 MB Android app and a lite version of just 2.6 MB, according to ChampsBase, which suits phones with little storage or data.
SportPesa: no Google Play app in Kenya; Paybillke says the Android APK (5–10 MB) comes from sportpesa.com/app, and iPhone users use the web app. SMS on 79079 works on any phone.
SportyBet: an Android app on Google Play and web access for iPhone users.
Betika: an app plus Betika Lite, and a web app that handles deposits, withdrawals and jackpots.
Download APK files only from the operator’s own website.

🚪 Don’t leave small balances behind
Small balances are easy to forget, but they can cost you. ChampsBase notes an inactivity charge at Odibets, and operators sometimes leave Kenya: Betin and Betway left in 2023, and when Betsafe exited in May 2024, Capital FM reported that customers had seven days to get their balances refunded to M-Pesa. If you stop using a casino, withdraw what you can first, provided the balance is above the minimum withdrawal.
🏆 If a small deposit turns into a big win
It happens: SportPesa’s record Mega Jackpot win, worth KSh 424.7 million in 2025, started from a single KSh 99 bet. If a small casino deposit turns into a large balance, a few rules apply:
M-Pesa limits: a single M-Pesa transaction is capped at KES 250,000, and your daily total and wallet balance at KES 500,000 each, according to Paybillke. Larger wins need several withdrawals, or a bank payout if the operator offers one.
Extra checks: large withdrawals can trigger a manual KYC review. At 22Bet Kenya, for example, withdrawals above KES 50,000 are reviewed within 1 to 24 hours.
Tax: 5% withholding tax comes off each withdrawal; check your account statement for any other deductions.
Two-day rule: the Gambling Control Act requires operators to pay winnings within two days.
🛑 Setting a deposit limit on a small budget
A deposit limit is the simplest protection when you play with small amounts, because it stops ten KES 50 top-ups from becoming KES 500 without you noticing.
Open your account settings or responsible gambling page.
Choose a daily, weekly or monthly limit. SportPesa and Betika offer all three.
Set it at your real budget, for example KES 200 a week.
Remember the cooling-off. At SportPesa and Betika, raising a limit takes 24 to 72 hours to apply; lowering it is the safer direction.
If you can’t find limits in your account, ask support to set one. Kenyan law requires operators to offer deposit, loss and session limits.
🇰🇪 Kenya’s 2026 rules that protect small-budget players
Kenya’s Conduct of Gambling Operations Regulations, 2026 (Legal Notice 112), described by Techweez, work alongside the Gambling Control Act 2025. Several measures matter even when you only deposit KES 50:
Identity checks: operators must verify players before accounts are activated, which is why you’ll be asked for ID early.
Segregated funds: player money must be kept separate from the operator’s own, protecting small balances too.
Limits: operators must offer deposit, loss and session limits.
National self-exclusion: operators must connect to a national register, so one exclusion can cover every licensed site.
Certified games: online casino platforms and games must come from licensed suppliers with RNG certificates from accredited labs.
Payouts within two days: the Act requires winnings to be paid within two days.
No credit: credit cards and crypto are banned for gambling.
🔒 Staying safe with small deposits
Copy paybills only from the casino’s own site. Fake paybills are common: Paybillke lists 290681 and 290608 as scam versions of Odibets’ 290680.
Check the recipient name on the M-Pesa confirmation screen, such as “SPORTPESA KENYA” or “BETIKA KENYA”. A person’s name is a reason to stop, Paybillke says.
Never share your M-Pesa PIN or one-time codes.
Ignore “unlock your winnings” fees. A licensed operator deducts tax itself.
Be wary of fake reversal requests after a payout; check your real balance first.
Use your own line. Accounts and payouts are tied to your registered number.

Using an unlicensed site because its minimum looks lower.
📊 Kenya’s small-stakes market
Kenyan betting is built on M-Pesa and small, frequent stakes. Blask search data for September 2026 gave Betika a 29.1% share of Kenyan betting brand searches, with SportPesa second. Both are paid by paybill. The 5% excise on every deposit, widened from 1 July 2026 under the Finance Act, means that small, frequent deposits now cost players more in proportion than a single planned one.

🏁 Final verdict: the best minimum deposit casinos in Kenya
You can start at a licensed Kenyan casino with a few shillings. SportyBet has the lowest minimum deposit, at KES 1. Odibets pairs tiny stakes with a KES 100 minimum withdrawal and fast tested payouts. SportPesa offers the clearest 2026 casino licence and SMS access from about KES 50, and Betika keeps entry low, although its exact minimums vary between sources.
Plan around three numbers: the 5% excise on your deposit, the KES 20 minimum stake, and the casino’s withdrawal minimum. In practice, KES 50 is the sweet spot: it’s in Safaricom’s free paybill band and covers a couple of rounds after tax.
Before any deposit, however small, check the PG licence on the casino’s site, copy the paybill from the official deposit page, verify your ID early and set a weekly limit. Those four steps matter more than the minimum itself.
